Where from his past did he ever overcame obstacles, or learned thought experience how to overcome in life challenges and in politics?.......Many a great leaders have failed in the past and waxed stronger later in life, greats like George Washington and Abe Lincoln or even lowly presidents like libido-driven Bill Clinton learned to at least "politically" maneuver his way from 94' defeat to 1996 victory, in part because he lost the governorship in the early 80's and learned how to come back (not to mention dulled Bob Dole help him) But you know what I mean.....
Obama at best knocked his political opponents off the ballots in the State Senate, was lucky or not so much to have a judge release sex-scandal Ryan's divorce papers to, in essence, get him knocked out of the U.S senate seat of Illionis....meaning a technicality is not going to save him forever , Yes he has Acorn and Union types behind him and they are a force but only to a certain extinct because accomplishes have to mean something now even if they didn't in 2008, Obama's life has been of full of TELL but NO SHOW, Two books about nothing he actually achieved but all about his great IDEA'S including His 2004 speech, his campaign promises and His Presidency show far has achieve nothing that the People actually like but misery upon misery......
He said that he was a man of modest childhood but somehow went to an exclusive and expensive private school, HMMMM!! He somehow paid his way through Columbia! the White House has yet to explain to us how he did such great feats! And this man of mystery can come back legally?
Even Sarah Palin showed strength and courage, though her career in politics appeared over after she resign in protest about the corruption in her own party, She manage to rise back up in the state of Alaska despite not having the backing of the GOP, having one of the HISTORIC RARE opportunities to actually unseat a incumbent Governor in the Primaries without any technicalities!
I didn’t think Clinton could make a comeback...evidently it’s not just conservatives who vote it those damn elections. O still has way too high approval for as bad as he sucks. I don’t count him out this early.
I know. Something is not right about all of this...Of course when the media is up your butt and don’t vet you, you can pretty much do whatever you want to.
I think it is best to compare him to Carter.
Gallup has a neat function where you can chronologically compare presidents on popularity.
It would be interesting to study the infrequent up bumps on Carter and see how they might replicate themselves today.
Obama is in a terminal tailspin in my opinion. He will soon be an active widely shared public joke.
But Clinton had political moxie, Obama is an community organizer and has never been an political, anything can happen as far as the economy goes but as a person he has done nothing to prove it........prove that he can outside of the ecnomy improving!
You are on to something. The guy politically (fortunately for us) lacks experience in getting legislation passed. I cannot think of one piece of legislation that he got passed with his name on it. He therefore never learned the art of compromise, or the art of understanding you opposition and appeasing their concerns. He is strictly an idealogue with a "my way or the highway" attitude. He has learned to wear a veneer that projects unity, but that veneer has worn thin exposing the wood and paste structure underneath.
Fortunately, his weakness is making him impotent in many dimensions.
43% approval rating. That’s not too low for a comeback. Especially with 3 years to go. I’ll write him off when he’s at 30% approval rating and 2 years to go.
I don’t count Obama out at all. As badly as he has done, he STILL has a net +2 favorable rating. Once healthcare is passed and everyone is stuck with it (and the media moves on to another Corey Haim death, etc) and unemployment begins to fall, he will gain popularity again
Stated differently, he is a shoe in for 2013. We are TOO forgiving as a nation and will keep cutting him slack until our country is destroyed.
The Media.
In mid-2004, the networks and major papers were all over the story of Bush's lowest polling numbers ever. It was the lead story for a couple of days.
Obama has exactly the same numbers in exactly the same poll. Not a peep.
You’re missing the point, i’m not talking about polls per say, i’m talking about politically or courage wise or strength wise or leadership wise,.....Luck is not going to save someone forever.
Prove to me where Obama ever overcame obstacles of any significant?
I didn’t think there was any way people would be stupid enough to vote for him the first time.
So I have no rational basis for thinking they will be any smarter the 2nd time. Just hope.
Truth to tell, he never really won an election, either. When he ran for the state legislature, he used crooked courts to eliminate his opponents. When he ran for Senator, he pried open sealed divorce papers to eliminate his opponent. And when he ran for president, the DNC arranged to nominate Juan McCain for the Republicans. McCain ran an even worse campaign than Bob Dole. It was as if he wanted Obama to win. Sarah almost turned the battle, but McCain’s stooges managed to sabotage her.
what are you kidding? He overcame the clinton machine in the primaries!
Youre counting us out WAY too easily
You make obama sound like an unbeatable genius.
Some People tend to read the headlines and don’t read what was written.....I’m glad that you get it!!
Ubanga can make a comeback. He just needs to keep a low profile and take up hobbies like mountain climbing, scuba diving in caves, motorcycling, etc.... maybe do a little hunting. He needs to have some fun, and let the peeps see how much fun he’s having. If he does this stuff he’ll cruise to re-election.
(Oops... I hope the White House doesn’t hear about this winning strategy.)
If you look at the actual votes Clinton won and did well in States Obama was suppose to win overwhelmingly, only the media turned on Clinton and jumped on the Obama-mania Board, And after that Obama finished with a whimper and Super delegates!
Thanks for reminding me about the elections. McCain screwed up on his own; the blame should be placed solely on McCain and the Republican party for selecting him in the primaries and for the melbatose campaign he ran.
