SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) Prince Frederic von Anhalt, a flamboyant socialite and eighth husband of Zsa Zsa Gabor, has officially entered the California governor's race.
Von Anhalt's political platform includes legalizing marijuana and prostitution, lifting the import ban on Cuban cigars then taxing them all.
The 65-year-old flew to Sacramento Wednesday from his Los Angeles home to file his candidate papers.
Von Anhalt says he was motivated to run by watching the mistakes of Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, who he says has let Californians down.

If governor of California he can’t do squat about Cuban cigars, and medpot has already been okayed by California. Does he have Federal ambitions?
>> promotes pot, prostitution<<
OK with me — that which is legalized can be regulated and taxed. I am not a huge fan of taxes, but a modest tax on something that is underground now would help a bit...
If we can’t find a true conservative to run I might actually vote for this clown.
Pot, hos, and Cubans, oh my!
Its is going to be one freakshow of a gov race, only in CA!
Well, were already bankrupt so might as well go down completely in flames.
Not really. That money gets spent anyways. Then respent. It won’t actually raise much revenue.
They won’t stop till we have 12 year old addict hookers.
Clint is smiling somewhere.
Will California please hurry up and fall into the GD ocean?
Remember this candidate from the recall race?
What? No Gary Coleman this time?
Now that is someone with a “Platform” that i can support. I’m sure she can deal with propositions. And if they send her to Sacramento and she will tax their brains out.
There's no need to throw cold water on a man's shameless act of self promotion by using logic, reason and incontrovertible facts. This guy's got something to pimp - himself. Don't get in his way.
My favorite Zsa Zsa line, by the way, was when she was asked if she ever did ‘housekeeping’. She said that ‘housekeeping’ to her was keeping the house after the divorce.
This will siphon a few votes from Brown.
I see the Libertarians found a candidate.
This guy is only an adopted son of one of the Anhalt princesses in a financial exchange.
The real thing would look more like this:
As if this wasn’t already weird enough...
” but a modest tax on something that is underground now would but a modest tax on something that is underground now would help a bit......
Sure, just what we need. More money taken from private citizens and turned over to the destructive, wasteful government. “Conservatives” never cease to amaze me. What we need is fewer resources diverted to the government, not more. Sheeesh!
“help a bit” Help what? The politicians regulate and control us?
