Not unexpected. We've been discussing this for months. She owes McCain a big political debt for choosing her as his VP running mate and is personally loyal to him, despite the conniving backstabbers he surrounded her with.

We accept that and can live with it.

If she is supporting the leftist McInsane in the primary, she obviously is much more of a politician than a conservative. This move speaks volumes.

She'll campaign in Texas for Gov. Rick Perry, who faces a primary challenge from Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison; she'll appear in Arizona for Senator John McCain, who faces a challenge from the right; and she'll appear in Minnesota for Rep. Michelle Bachmann, a conservative firebrand who has emerged as a national figure.

This is the REAL news---she's directly backing Bachmann.

I agree. I’ll have to rethink my support for her now, depending on how she moves in the future.

I could see "supporting" him with words from afar...but not campaigning for him.

McCain is part of the problem...not the solution.

She needs to maintain her grassroots, real, honest appeal.

Agree.

She can not straddle the fence when endorsing people. By my count she has now endorsed two RINOs....John McCain and Michael Steele.

Her personna would lead me to believe that she is very conservative but endorsements like this will lead us to examine her conservative credentials.

And needs to...as Bachmann is Enemy Number One in Pelosi's eyes...And Bachmann is in a blue state..She's got a tough row to hoe.

That said...with Brown's epic win...maybe Bachmann's race won't be as bad as previously thought?

“she’s a Conservative REPUBLICAN”

Well aware of that Magritte. J.D. Hayworth is also a Conservative Republican strongly considering a run against McCain.

http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/73995-hayworth-inches-toward-mccain-challenge

Should Sarah support McCain over Hayworth? Why or why not? She needs to really pause and consider why people are enraged in this country. They are enraged at the political class - of which McCain is one.

I’m not saying this to damage Sarah Palin, as I’m a fan. But we’re discussing her current decision on its merits.

I hope she’ll reconsider, but putting herself out there publically in support of McCain at this juncture and just after what happened with the Brown revolt is too bad, imho.

It’s more of a Michael Steele/John Boehner move and less of a Sarah Palin move that we’ve come to hope for.

The ruling GOP political class, like the RATS will ignore the MA message last night - AT ITS PERIL.

At the very least, she shouldn’t support either candidate, until after the primary! Then she can make a couple cameos for McLame if she wanted...but right now, she’s opposing the true Conservative - that’s NOT good for her Conservative bona fides.

Then there is always the hope that McCain learned something by the beating delivered to him by his media friends in the last election. He hasn't done anything stupid lately.

Of course he hasn't done anything stupid lately. He's running for re-election so he has to pretend he's a conservative until after November 2.

Undeserved loyalty, is really the only time loyalty is truly shown.
Sarah, shows a great deal of INTEGRITY and personal character by doing this, even though most of her supporters and myself wouldn't pee on mclame if he was on fire, My Friends.

This shouldn't surprise anyone anymore than her loyalty to LIFE. She always demonstrates grace in the face of controversy. Always.

I love Saah but she’s wrong on this one!

I think shee’s been hanging out with Hannity too much! Hannity can’t let a week go by without having all the major RINO’s on his show: Romney, Newt, and McLame.

Sarah please don’t do this!

I can see her campaigning for him in the general election, but not in a primary.
+++++++++++++++

I really hope she doesn’t campaign against Hayworth in the primary...that will send a really confused message, imho.

George Bush was loyal to his incompetent aides as well ... look where that got him. There’s loyalty and there’s concern for the country. John McCain is not good for the country ... she should not be campaigning for him. I could understand if she didn’t want to campaign AGAINST him, but to campaign for him just makes her another run of the mill politician! I thought better of her than this!

Sarah......really, really BIG MISTAKE.

Is Juan McQUEEG, McPOS, McSTAIN, McLAME any different than Scozzafava?

IMO, she would be wiser to recuse herself from AZ politics. That way no one can say “oooh, she’s so disloyal to the guy who brought her to the dance” and no one can say “RINO-supporter!” However, I’ll defer to her political instincts (for now) which have, so far, served her very well.
