Do you think Sarah was unprincipled when she agreed to be John's VP even though she didn't agree with him on everything?

Very good point.

And she is right to do so. Rick Perry is the most electable conservative running for Governor in Texas.

“You don’t get it. This announcement, at this time, is designed to prevent Hayworth from running. This is preemptive to clear the field. It doesn’t matter if she campaigns later or not - She is kingmaking for the Traitorous Bastard.”

I do get it. In the context of my post that was merely a rhetorical question, in fact in answer to another poster I posisted the same reasoning you did, although you did a better job. I’m not about to write off Palin, but my enthusiasm has waned quite a bit.
I was leery when she signed on w/Fox, which while doing good job in comparison to its competition is often little more than a RINO reunion.
As for her being ‘kingmaker”. I think that’s the route she’ll go, as long as her PAC gets money, and she can draw crowds.

See JimRob’s statement, somewhere here-abouts. Though it is disappointing.

Perry is a moderate at best.... He only talks conservative every four years come election time. The remainder of the time he’s back to roots, democrat.

I would say his chance is better than "small"

"As for “thinking conservatives” look at the inanity of the posts right here that try to rationalize Palin’s promotion of McCain."

Sure but is anyone saying they support McLame know cause his loyal running mate is supporting him? I would doubt it. If so they aren't "thinking". She's not God, she's a person making a mistake. Her endorsement doesn't carry the weight of the world.

Update: Hannity’s guest tonight was Juan McLame! I’m getting so weary of Sean.

I don't think they're aware of just how tired we are of having Fox and the other news media pushing this loser. He is not not now, and really never was the face of the Republican Party.

I sincerely hope that when it's my time to go that I have sense enough to see it for myself and not have to have the entire United States have to point it out to me.

It says something about Palin’s judgement and whether loyalty trumps principle. It also says something about her political advisors.

you mean McCain’s good friend John F’n Kerry, dynamic duo in the ‘90s who worked their @sses off to halt any further inquiry into the search for Vietnam POWs?

That is exactly what I mean. :)

However I agree with JimRobb, the only candidate I trust is Sarah Palin, and I think that will still be true in 2012. We have had enough Ivey League Rhodes Scholars types in the Presidency, to know they are all from the same pot.

RE :”Her endorsement doesn't carry the weight of the world.

What you say? It's her Facebook entry calling on MA voters that won the MA Coakley/Brown Senate race for Brown and killed Health reform (a second time.) . I hope you are not another Sarah denier because this is Sarah country.

:)

And is she a candidate? she signed a multi-year contract with FAUXnews.

I don't believe she owed McJuan a damned thing further than what she contributed to his lousy campaign of '08 (uphill for her, to say the least) and the praise (too much)she has given him.

He stands for everything not conservative, and her encouragement destroys her own credentials. He is now her albatross.

As for loyalty, how much and for how long? From now on?

This could be a disaster for conservatism. Major setback, and time is not on our side.

Give me an alternative, or let it go.

An alternative..."John, I'd like to help out, but you know I'm committed now with FOX and it would be a partisan thing to campaign with you." Lame, maybe. So what would the backstabber do, scream curses at her? She's probably been treated to that spectacle(w/others who cross his path).

I guess the answer lies way back after McC lost the election--if she had disentangled herself from him and kept quiet instead of praising him to the skies...but then, she was in for a penny, in for a pound. She craves the spotlight and loves her image as rockstar Joan of Arc.

I liked the first paragraph, but this seems a little over the top, and I really doubt it is true.

Nothing is stopping Hayworth from running. He’s had plenty of time to declare.

yeahright. makes alot of sense to throw your hat in the ring without the support of the kingmakers in the party.

IF he runs, it will only be because he has received committed support from outside of the Republicans. There is *no* support for Conservatives within the Republican party. If he receives the support of the TEA Partiers, I have no doubt he will run, and will win - despite all that Sarah Palin is doing to help her RINO friends.

And Palin will be on the wrong side of the issue AGAIN.

Sure she likes it! Take an impartial look at her. She is a part & passel of the awful celebrity cult/culture that we have in the West, and overnight she went from fairly obscure governor in a faraway state to rockstar idol--and she loves it. Meanwhile, her husband & family are...? Thouands of miles away in snowbound Alaska, coping with all the problems of any large family. But her apparent feminist mindset tells her she can have it all...

balky computer here...take care.

Thanks to deciding vote, Kennedy. No thanks to opposed bitter Latina, Sotomayor.
