Let’s hope, for McCain’s sake, those who he is “befriending” are just as blunt... ;)
Personally, I wish she wouldn't. But she has to be shown as reaching out to RINOs. Even Ronald Reagan did so by naming George Bush I as VP.”

That was a different era, with some similarities. Now, we're backed up against the socialist abyss...hopefully she'll just make those cameos you suggest, but won't continue that reaching over the aisle bit that McCain has made ignominious. I know she wants to be classy and even liked, but we need her to be savvy also. I think she understands. Anyhow, she's in a tough spot, one that requires leadership - but she seems to relish it.
You nailed it.
It's what has bothered me about him since the election.
She saved him during the campaign.
doesn’t matter he’s used to it
Ouch!
Sarah, shows a great deal of INTEGRITY and personal character by doing this, even though most of her supporters and myself wouldn't pee on mclame if he was on fire, My Friends.
Republicans are like abused spouses.
Face it, they aint going to change.

And your 2nd party takeover dream *will* save the country? Hmmm, who has energized Conservatives more - AIP or Sarah Palin? Just askin’.
This is my point. I don't like McCain and would like to see a conservative in his place.
One thing is abundantly clear about Sarah is that her respect and admiration for those who have served in the military and suffered for our country is second to none.
That is the one thing that we must all respect and thank John McCain for, despite our huge and growing list of other issues with him.
I agree with you.
She has class..He on the other hand needs to retire
not sure her move is a wise move with the rino backlash presently in play - will be seen as supporting centrist ideals - wonder if this is a trial balloon to feel out the masses
She needs to maintain her grassroots, real, honest appeal.
absolutely - i read it the same way
IMO, shes making a mistake...in supporting McCain.
+++++++++++++
I hope it will be brief. How can she support him over a true Conservative?
“This is a wise decision. We all know that McCain is not a conservative, but loyalty is a highly valued quality.”
Loyalty to those who deserve it is a valued quality. This is a horrible decision. “Politics as usual”, indeed.
She needs to stop being so grateful to the Old Man and start branching out on her own. Her refusal to detract from McCain is disheartening.
Bad move. I was all for Sarah but this changes things. So, if Hayworth decideds to run against McCain in the primary she’ll campaign for McCain? If a Scott Brown type, albeit a lot more conservative, decides to run against McCain in the primary she’ll campaign for him?
I can see her campaigning for him in the general election, but not in a primary.
The way things are going it won’t be long before there’s not a dimes worth of difference between her and Romney/Pawlenty et al.
“Going Rogue” - NOT!!!
Hey Bruce...she’s a Conservative REPUBLICAN...everybody keeps forgetting that in order to get the 2012 nomination, she’s going to have to place some ball and that means working with guys like McCain and other FR-Pariahs...it’s a savvy move and should counter Romney’s current strategy...magritte
All the spin in the world is not going to work if J. D. Hayworth enters the race, or any respected conservative. Campaigning for McCain, Sarah would be campaigning against what she claims to believe in, and campaigning for the biggest politics as usual RINO in the Republican party.
No way to spin it.
