John McCain’s top campaign strategist said in an interview Sunday that Sarah Palin was dishonest as the GOP’s vice-presidential nominee and that her untruths have done long-term damage to her public image.
“There were numerous instances that she said things that were – that were not accurate that ultimately, the campaign had to deal with,” said Steve Schmidt in an interview broadcast on CBS’s “60 Minutes.” “And that opened the door to criticism that she was being untruthful and inaccurate. And I think that is something that continues to this day.”
Schmidt is the perfect campaign operative for Romney.
No, kidding.
But the 60 Minutes interview basically called her stupid, and someone “that didn’t do her homework” before the Katie Couric interview.

Tell him you expect him to refute Schmidt’s claims that she wasn’t vetted.
I KNOW that she was.

This fargin dirtbag was just pissed because McCain had to renig on his choice of Libermann because their trial balloon blew up before it got off the gas bottle filling it up. He then decided to submarine the whole campaign after he figured out that Sarah was a threat to all their little elite club had gained over the years. He hadn’t met Sarah until she arrived at McCain’s ranch for the final vetting before the announcement.
Schmidt is a dedicated Progressive no matter what anyone tries to tell you and a willing accomplice to take this country away from the people.

Steve Schmidt is nothing more then a Democrat. Schmidt and Wallace both wanted Romney to be the VP, since he was not, they wanted to make sure McCain lost, that is why they both tanked the campaign, so that if Romney would not win, McCain wouldn’t win either. Kinda like the “If I cant have him no one can” analogy. McCain was a dumb ass to keep those two on his payroll when he KNEW they both had biases. To this day Sean Hannity STILL has that idiot Wallace on his show. Sarah Palin was the ONLY good thing about that entire train wreck of a campaign. For the first time in my life I contributed to a campaign, I never have before, but when she was announced I gave 50 bucks and I said this money was BECAUSE of Sarah Palin.

Bush advisors stoked anti-gay sentiment in an attempt to drive social conservatives to the polls — Steve Schmidt, senior campaign strategist for the McCain campaign, stopped by a Log Cabin Republican luncheon Thursday to welcome the group to the convention.
“I just wanted to take a second to come by and pay my respect and the campaign’s respect to your organization and to your group,” said Schmidt, who many view as the new architect of the Republican Party. “Your organization is an important one in the fabric of our party.”
In his brief remarks, Schmidt weaved in a personal anecdote about his lesbian sister and her relationship to him, his wife, and his children. “On a personal level, my sister and her partner are an important part of my life and our children’s life,” he said. “I admire your group and your organization and I encourage you to keep fighting for what you believe in because the day is going to come.”

NOW I understand what sticks in Schmidt’s crawl about Sarah Palin..Schmidt has a homo sister, Sarah is against gay marriage, that’s what makes him angry, that she is against her deviant behavior
