Only 30% oppose water-boarding
The Macon County Conservative Examiner ^ | 1/1/10 | Robert Moon

Posted on 01/01/2010 12:34:19 PM PST by aquapub

According to a new Rasmussen poll, only the lunatic Democrat fringe (30%) thinks thwarted Christmas bomber Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab should not be water-boarded for critical information on his fellow al Qaida operatives, while 58% favor it. 71% prefer investigating the matter through the military, as an act of war.

Apparently, liberals would rather us just continue pretending that the Constitution applies to non-citizens and politely ask foreign terrorists for vital intelligence on their operations. These blood-thirsty savages are at war with our country (whether the left can grasp that or not) and are not going to turn against other jihadists without some extreme interrogation tactics--like the unforgivable travesty of pouring water over their heads...

Wonder if more would approve if we water-boarded politicians instead of terrorists!

I’d like to see Bush do it to Bummer. Personally. OK, just kidding.

Of course if this fellow clams up I say get out the bucket and the hose. Rag optional. But I think he is singing nicely right now.

Waterboarding would only work for him if he surfaced to see a teleprompter.

If a foreign assailant can come to this country to kill and terrorize and be treated as a common criminal, then there are no more acts of war.

I’m not against snowboarding them either. Blindfold them, put them on a snowboard and push them down a very steep, heavily wooded ski trail.

No. Just wondering if folks disliked politicians in general more than terrorists.

If so, that 30% against may well shrink even more.

I often wonder if they would feel the same if their children were killed by terrorists.

I’ll bet with some judicious use that percentage could be even lower :)

This article is pointless, since the press publicly outed waterboarding and made it pretty much useless, as was the intent apparently.

So they can “feel good” about what they have done, oblivious to the fact that newer, probably harsher techniques must in the future be implemented.
