I have long held MSNBC host Ed Schultz's erratic behavior stems from his political and professional status, envy at those whose careers surpass his. As David Swindle noted in the roll-out of this series, "Ben’s posts on Schultz are collected and all future articles will be collected here under the series name 'Genius Envy' a play on a well-known Freudian term." I came up with the name "Genius Envy" to highlight the way much of Ed's incendiary rhetoric seems to be rooted in his offended masculinity. I was gratified to see my thesis was proven correct in less than a week. Last Thursday Schultz, the poor mind's Rush Limbaugh, wanted to compare his manhood with Bill O'Reilly and Dennis Miller.
He began by ripping "[f]ailed comedian and sportscaster Dennis Miller" over a joke he made at the WWE Slammy Awards, then criticized Bill O'Reilly for his reaction to the skit on The O'Reilly Factor. Ed crowed, "O'Reilly condone[d] that despicable display of unapologetic sexism," and criticized O'Reilly for donating $25,000 to Miller's favorite charity at Christmastime (!).
When he rolled the footage of O'Reilly calling Miller "a good man," Ed launched into his manhood measurement moment:

I love Dennis Miller and he is the only reason I watch The O’Reilly Factor. Bill O’Reilly is hardly a genius. It is a miracle that he can speak since is lips are firmly planted on Obama’s scrawny ass.
Ed’s massive ego can’t compete with Bill’s!
Rachel Maddow sure does.
Schultz is simply projecting his own feelings of inadequacy.

actually..if bor is smart..he should ignore ed..ed is only trying to start a feud to help his own ratings..much like olbermann does on a nightly basis with anyone who doesn’t agree with him..ie rush, fox news, bor, etc...

So, I expect to see Schultz post up a copy of his DD214 now.
And I betcha he thinks that Perez Hilton qualifies as a full-blooded American man.

What about a certain MSLSD host who brags about the tingles that Obama gives him? Is that manly?
I know Fat Ed from Fargo, by virtue of suffering his insufferable radio show. He appears to be in the same league as that other moron on pmsnbc, you know, the sportscaster with an attitude. He ain’t no Rush Limbaugh that is for sure. I doubt he could articulate a straight thought on principles that matter. He seems more the angry radical wrapped up in progressive attire appealing to the same BDS afflicted folks looking for their dose of validation. The ratings tell the tale, as the donkey gets pinned.
