Obama the Mortal(Democrats Go Berserk on President's Troop Upgrade)
Washington Post ^ | December 6, 2009 | Dana Milbank

Some parishioners in the Church of Obama discovered last week that their spiritual leader is a false prophet

Consider the blow suffered by the liberal filmmaker Michael Moore, who issued a plaintive plea to the president on the eve of his announcement that he was sending 30,000 more troops into Afghanistan. By escalating the war, Moore wrote:

"[Y]ou will do the worst possible thing you could do -- destroy the hopes and dreams so many millions have placed in you. With just one speech tomorrow night you will turn a multitude of young people who were the backbone of your campaign into disillusioned cynics. You will teach them what they've always heard is true -- that all politicians are alike."

Obama, of course, was not moved by his follower from Flint. The real question is why Moore, and those millions and multitudes of whom he wrote, thought that Obama would do otherwise. Obama never said during the campaign that he would pull out of Afghanistan; in fact, he had promised to escalate. "As president, I will make the fight against al-Qaeda and the Taliban the top priority that it should be," he said in July 2008, vowing to send at least two more combat brigades to Afghanistan. "This is a war that we have to win."

Yet Moore is surely right about the disillusionment of Obama's supporters. Even before the surge announcement, support among liberals for Obama's Afghanistan policy had dropped 22 points since July, to 59 percent from 81 percent, according to a Post-ABC News poll. Overall liberal support for Obama had drifted down to 80 percent from 94 percent in the spring -- and, given the noisy complaints from the left last week, that number seems likely to fall further.

To have the left-wing hordes of "BushisHitler" degenerate scum stunned in utter disillusionment by the President's decision on the war against terror has me ecstatic in a way I never thought possible. My very first thought was not that "BushisHitler" but that BushWasRight, after all.
History does have a way having that effect.
Each and every illustration of Obama-Letdown I get to read, each and every quote of some vile Anti-War mob decrying "God's Other Son" brings a tear to my eye out of sheer jubilation, joy.
But the one that has me over-the-top is knowing how that all of this will be sticking deep down inside the craw of the slobbering gorilla, treasonous America-Hater, Michael "Dog" Moore, for a very long time to come. But not ever enough to have him leave the land that he has such revulsion for, aka " the Greatest Country Ever any time soon enough.

History does have a way having that effect.

Indeed. History does have a way of filtering out the hate and bringing out the truth.

Bush WAS right.

(And I agree. Obama's making Michael Moore mad is just delightful. :)

I hate to disagree with that great mental giant Michael Moron, but I think a multitude of the Obozo's mindless yute syncophants had already turned into disillusioned cynics when they realized the Obozo plans to stick them with paying trillions in US debt. If that doesn't make them cynics, a few more years in Afghanistan won't.

Because thy thought he was lying about it to get the independent vote --and the left think lying is OK

Michael Moore is a big, fat hypocrite!. If he really had the courage of his “so-called” convictions, he would become an expatriot and go live in a Communist country somewhere. North Korea, maybe? I think instead, the secret capitalist part of him is doing too well and his bank account is too well padded to ever really leave. Our loss!!!

"a multitude of the Obozo's mindless yute syncophants had already turned into disillusioned cynics " More than half of these youth are too stung out on drugs to notice much of anything. Obama could break all of his promises and fail in turning America into the Soviet Union and they would still vote for him.

Be realistic. 40% of voters will never abandon Hussein. Palin Derangement Syndrome will take care of that.

At the time it occurred, a lib I know had a 21 year old daughter and I asked him if he’d jettison Clinton if it had been her in Monica’s place. Flat out said no.

Michael Moore supported Wesley Clark in the 2004 DNC primaries. In Moore’s Bowling For Columbine he tears into the Clinton’s for the bombing raid in Kosovo, and blames some of that violence on the Columbine tragedy.

Hmm...now why would Moore support the guy who was the general in charge of that operation? Hypocrite in deed.

Somehow I suspect a bunch more disillusionment is occurring among the liberal youth because the Obamunist youth corp can’t find jobs after obtaining their four year BA degrees from Progressive State U. and are having to move back in with Mummy and Daddy for a few more years.
