“I worry about the lack of objectivity and the future of the news business,” Charles Gibson told a Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce audience yesterday.

The host of ABC’s “World News” program said the two cable networks are playing to niche audiences - Fox to conservatives and MSNBC to liberals - to the detriment of what should be objective news gathering and reporting.

Said it should be “left to the cables” since it involved “prostitutes”. Sigh.

BTW, Charlie says “objective news gathering and reporting” doesn’t he mean “selective news gathering and reporting” considering Charlie and other in the Lame Stream Media have done nothing but cheerlead for the Democrats.

The threads yesterday talking about how the White House was bickering with MSNBC fits in here.

The White House may try to paint Fox as far to the “ridiculous” right as MSNBC is to the looney left (it isn’t) so that they can complain about them both and paint CNN (now without that radical Lou Dobbs) as the center.

Won’t work.

This coming from the station that refused to allow any negative advertising or difference of opinion on their “health care” special. Why any Republican would now want to be interviewed by these people is beyond me.

Charlie’s right. Bias is only good when it comes from ANBCBS.
