Hillary Clinton Scrubs Ronald Reagan From History
Nile Gardiner November 10th, 2009
Its bad enough that President Obama could not be bothered to attend the celebrations marking the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. But Hillary Clintons refusal to even acknowledge the role played by Ronald Reagan in the Walls demise as well as the downfall of Communism was highly insulting towards one of the greatest figures of our time, and reeked of petty and partisan mean-spiritedness.
The Secretary of States remarks yesterday in Berlin completely erased from history the huge contribution played not only by President Reagan but also by the United States in confronting the Soviet Empire. In her speech she applauded half of Europe, but could not bring herself to thank those Americans who bravely served their country and in many cases laid down their lives in defeating Communism, under Reagans leadership.
Here is what Clinton said in Berlin on behalf of the Obama administration:
We remember the allies who conducted the largest humanitarian airlift in history, completing more than a quarter million flights to sustain the people of West Berlin. We remember the Poles (applause) who waged a campaign for liberty that began with a strike in the shipyards of Gdansk and ended by shattering a system of tyranny. We remember a Polish Pope who spoke out for the aspirations of people across Europe and the world. (Applause.).....

"Incredibly, Clinton ended her remarks, with a tribute not to the tens of millions of victims of Communism, but to Barack Obama!"
When you lose your history you lose everything.
How Stalinesque. Will the O Admin Photoshop photos next?
One of my life's disappointments is the expectation that I probably won't live long enough to experience history's justified legacy of the cClintons:
...partisan, mean spirited, the politics of personal destruction, Arkancide... and all ineffectual!
That nasty old hag did not mention Margaret Thatcher, either. Disgusting!
This woman MUST be asked to resign. She’s embarrassed of American history!
Democrats will never be able to be worthy of speaking their names IMO.
Hmmph. How petty. I propose in the future, we all scrub Bill Clinton from any mention of the major events he oversaw. Like... ummm... wait a minute... there must be one...
The Clintons are indeed petty minded scum, of the ilk of our own unmissed BLiar, but in some ways worse. Her husband played with cigars while the greatest challenge to the West grew like the cancer it is, and Hilary herself is as bent as a nine-bob note with her Whitewater crookery, and the unaccountably missing files until the day after the expiry of the warrant.
So we must remember that you cant make a silk purse from a sows ear, and the sow Clintons ear is particularly useless.
These skunks take their petty partisan jealous to foreign shores as well.
The trinity of freedom!
Cnut.
Always with the dead-sounding monotone. She says what she thinks people want to hear, none of it coming from the heart.
Of course for hillary and hussein, this event marked a sad day in history.
YES, REAGAN DID IT...REAGAN DID IT...REAGAN DID IT...can’t re write history...makes her look like the idiot she is...
Just a reminder that we should be thankful that we have the hapless Obama instead of Hillary as POTUS. She would have caused some real damage.
Amen, and they were people who were not ashamed of their values and of promoting Democracy against the evil of communism.
God bless them.
I'm looking forward to President Palin's speech on the 25th anniversary.
