Nidal Malik Hasan, the suspect in yesterday's Fort Hood shootings that killed 13 and wounded 30, identifies as a Muslim.
Much has and will be made of his religion from people too ignorant to read a Qur'an, or too isolated to talk to a Muslim, or too stubborn to educate themselves. Even the Washington Post calls him a "devout Muslim." But can a "devout Muslim" commit such acts? No more than a "devout Christian" can, no.

What Hasan did is absolutely in line with all of the above.
Words fail me.

And it is permissible to lie to the infidel (Sura something-or-other).
This was Sudden Jihad, plain and simple.
Me: “Have they released his name yet?”
My sister: “You know what he’ll say.”
My mom: “He’s a Muslim.”
Me: “!!!!!!!!!! I knew it!”

They were telling him that one guy was shouting something in Arabic while he was shooting, Tom Hunt said. He couldnt say much more than that.
Susan Campbell is a complete moron.
If a person kills while brandishing a Bible, they are looked at as lunatics by Christians, let alone other religions.
Yet when a person brandishes a Koran and kills people in the name of Allah, we are supposed to NOT blame the religion when people from their religion make the living off telling other Muslims to do such acts?
NO ONE is telling Christians to go kill for God. MANY people are telling Muslims to kill for Allah. They even videotape their murders they commit and post them on YouTube.
Religion of Peace my Ass.
Just a coincidence that he is a Muslim and shouted “Allahu Akbar” as he started shooting.
/s
Drop the mouse and step away from the keyboard before you hurt someone.
It most certainly IS the point! The murderer shouted Allu Akbar (or whatever) and that MAKES it the point. It was a religious killing with him.
I’d be willing to believe this wasn’t due to the shooter’s Muslim beliefs if it was an isolated event.
But then, there was 9/11.
There was the Arkansas shooting of a recruitment center.
There’s all those attacks the world over.
There’s all those sleeper cells being broken up.
I just can’t fool myself any longer.
Not the point????
When he handed out Koran’s the morning of the shooting?
When he shouted Allahu Akbar as he killed US soldiers?
When he objected to being deployed because muslims should not fight mislims?
And the ******** at CAIR want to claim it’s irrelevant?
***** ‘em.
Bravo Sierra to this article. Hasan used his religious beliefs to try and go out in Jihad. Plain and simple.
Does that mean all muslims will do so? No, of course not.
Does it mean there is a latent possibility, depending on how their belief is interpreted (which, BTW, interpretation is rife all across this nation in radical Mosgues)? Yes.
This was Jihad within the ranks, plain and simple. Very similar to Sgt. Akbar in 2003.
Hasan had been under investigation for his statements and internet postings which included suggesting that more Muslims should strap on bombs and take the fight to America after the Arkansas recruiter was killed in Little Rock earlier this year, and posting on the internet that islamic suicide bombers were like US soldiers who jump on a hand grenade to save other soldiers lives.
He was very outspoken against the war and was fighting his upcoming deployment to Afghanistan and was actively fighting it.
Of course he was being harassed by other officers and probably by some enlisted personnel (though they would not do it openly to his face because he, Hasan, himself was an officer...more like the word getting out about his attitude and the way he was treated and responded to, particularly off-duty). I do not blame soldiers for that, for responding with disdain to one who stands against them in their mission and takes up the cause and mantra of the enemy. I blame Hasan himself, and the system that kept him in the position he was after these feelings and beliefs came to light.
He should not have been working with any soldiers returning from the war zone or deplying to it. In fact, he should have been discharged from the military altogether IMHO.
We’d best recognize the warning signs and the source for it and not, as this author does, try and ignore that source or write it off. If we fail to do so, we will see more such events.
Much less the intolerant closed eastern-minded cultures vs liberal open western-minded cultures.
This clash results in the regular reporting of so-called 'honor-killings' where a muslim family member is murdered for becoming 'westernized' and 'disrespecting islam'.
Sorry, Susan. It IS the religion.
It’s Islam.
It’s not Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism, etc.
It’s Islam.
I - S - L - A - M.
Get it, liberal idiot? In your spare time, go back to college and get a degree in something that’s actually challenging.

We gotta stand up to the muslims, the sooner the better.
Okay. Is it just me, or is this damned idiot living on another planet, in another universe, in a different dimension?
Oh, wait...she writes for the Hartford Courant. Never mind. She is from Connecticut.
The fact that the guy had a history as a radical muslim and was shouting 'Allah Akbar' as he murdered people apparently doesn't phase these idiots when it comes to making excuses.
Don’t forget Sgt. Akbar in 2003. That event was the most similar, IMHO, to this one.
And the muslims in the whitehouse need to go
Susan, you ignorant person. His religion is the WHOLE point. His belief in Islam WAS the driving issue behind his murders.
Read the Quran??? I have... and NOT THE ONE that CAIR hands to Tourists and Stupid Liberals.
and what this bright young man did in Texas Yesterday, is called for IN THE SAME QURAN that we are too STUPID to READ..
allah akbar = BON SAI (for those of you with public education, Japanese cry of victory, used during WWII)
"An American Carol" made fun of this STUPID-ASS ASSERTION.
I say that every Muslim in the US military needs to be reviewed as a potential security risk.
>Much has and will be made of his religion from people too ignorant to read
>a Qur’an,
>or too isolated to talk to a Muslim, or too stubborn to educate themselves.
This is crap. If you’ve thumbed through the koran, it is explicit in it’s intolerance to non-Muslims specifically Jews and Christians. I’ve spoken to many when in college and when stationed in the Middle East, and I will say again there is no such thing as a militant or extremist Muslim, but only Muslims. And they are a danger to the West. The Fort Hood incident is another signal, but when do we wake up?
I believe Bon Sai is a little tree.
Bonzai! is a warcry.
They can spin this and put all the lipstick they want on it. We all know this was a jihad against the military. And we knew it immediately after it happened. The media thinks we're all stupid. Let them keep thinking that as they fade off towards irrelevance. The internet is the real time news source. I'll stick to FR and Drudge.
In fact, if a tidbit from a thread yesterday is correct, given the chance to "identify" his religion, he very deliberately and fraudulently did not check the "Muslim" box.
And a "professed" religion? Whatever hair-splitting she did in the first sentence, pretending that a "professed" religion leaves one wiggle room, is hair-splitting-squared.
This is the drum, and patriotic conservatives need to beat it and beat it and beat it. Get these people out of our military, and furthermore, get them out of our country.
This could be a key to next years elections.
BTW...I know she didn’t WRITE the statement I quoted, but she agrees with it 100%.
The politically correct brain numbing deconstruction of western civilization has successfully now killed rational discussion about black crime and corruption, women’s issues, illegal immigration of non whites and homosexual deviance.
Will it succeed in squashing unpleasant truths about Islam?
probably..
It will take a cataclysm to shake this notion from the narcotic haze of anti-white, anti-Christian, anti-male revisionism whereby the empirical truth in plain site is eschewed in favor of fantasy that suits ill designed, self serving, blissfully unaware, truly bigoted mythologies.
When contorted logic is all you have then...
As usual; they make these insane claims.
Just as the pilot of the Air Egypt flight shouted Allah Akbar before crashing the plane on a suicide mission. And what were we told about that? He had financial problems and was distraught.
>allah akbar = BON SAI (for those of you with public education, Japanese cry of
> victory,used during WWII)
OT. But the war cry was Ban Zai. Bonsai are those little oriental trees.
Susan, if you kiss their asses enough, maybe...just maybe, they’ll kill you last.
Whats with the public education slam?
Speaking of education......it is Bansai.
Posted on another thread but fits here too.
My point is that the ususal blame someone else mentality of the media is already starting.
1) Hes a shrink...but cant deal with life in the military.
2) He didnt shot ALL of the victims.
I dont think the media should even be allowed to get by with even one story like this.
They are trying to mitigate the huge implications of this on American Soil.
What would Susan Campbell enjoy more:
1. Being deprived of her job
2. Her burka
3. Being stoned to death for being too western?
You know, statistically I had about a 1 in a hundred chance of this being a Muslim if it was just some random chance. But somehow way before the guy was identified, I was certain it was a Muslim....How is that?
1. Slavery - Muslims sold Blacks as slaves.
2. Helped create the Marines - Thomas Jefferson created the Marines to go over to the Barbary coast and kick some serious Muslim a**.
**I believe Bon Sai is a little tree.
Bonzai! is a warcry.**
I also admit government school education , but it was back when they still taugh this stuff.. but my spelling still ins’t the greatest.
Point still the same.
