Leftist brats: You need a 'timeout'

As I recall, during implementation of the previous administration's strategies in the War on Terror, members of the far left bleated their resentment toward those who questioned their patriotism. Given the left's pathetic deportment in response to terrorism, and reckless sympathetic tendencies where terrorists were concerned, they had come under criticism of the more circumspect among us.

Still, they claimed that their dovishness, objection to such measures as the Patriot Act and support of sanctuary city statutes didn't make them any less patriotic than anyone else, damn it.

Hurry -- time is running out to lose Afghan war!

The "government" there is corrupt from top to bottom; it has no control outside the city limits; vote-rigging has been honed to perfection; the economy is in tatters; public safety is a joke; dead bodies are stacking up all over the place as insurgent attacks grow by the hour. People are afraid to even venture out of their homes!

But enough about Chicago. Meanwhile, in just the last few weeks in Afghanistan:

-- Taliban bombers massacre five civilians traveling by car in Farah; in another gesture of peace, a suicide bomber on a motorcycle blows up four civilians in Herat, causing a total of 17 casualties; next day, Taliban bombers massacre six more civilians while traveling by car in Kunar; next day, in Kandahar, devout Muslims bomb a passenger bus, killing 30 people (10 children and seven women among the dead), injuring 39; a few days later, a Taliban bomb massacres four civilians at a market in Kunduz, injuring 20, while two American troops get shot to death by an "insurgent" dressed as a local solider (H/T, Thereligionofpeace.com). Then, heavily armed "Taliban insurgents" launch an assault in the eastern border region of Afghanistan, killing several American soldiers.

In a swift response to all the carnage, Obama launches another assault on . . . Fox News.

-- Days later, the Indian embassy in Kabul is attacked by a Muslim suicide bomber, killing 17 people and injuring 76. The Taliban quickly claimed credit for the mass murder. India's foreign ministry released a statement: "The attack was carried out by elements from outside Afghanistan [possibly Pakistan's ISI] seeking to damage the excellent India-Afghan relations."

The Obama White House retaliated by vowing to "treat [Fox News] the way we treat an opponent." (No word yet on when Obama starts treating the Taliban like an opponent.)

-- Soon after the Indian embassy bombing, a Muslim suicide bomber massacres six road construction guards,Taliban bombers kill a young policeman in Kunduz and Islamic "militants" murder two local soldiers via roadside bomb (H/T, Thereligionofpeace.com). In response, Obama held more 'Afghan strategy sessions' to figure out what his policy is, this after attending a gay rights gala to get military advice from Lady Gaga.

Meanwhile, during the period of Oct. 9-17, another 11 Americans in Afghanistan were killed via IED attacks or other hostile fire. Then, on Tuesday, another IED took the life of a Marine.

Obama responded by going to New York for two political fundraisers. Then he was back to obsessing about his favorite station, Fox News! He sat down for an NBC interview to talk about Fox News. After Mao disciple Anita Dunn declared Fox News "not a news organization," Obama met with non-opinionated Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow to talk about Fox News. Axelrod also recently met with 'reporters' to complain about Fox News. Ballerina Rahm also recently met with 'reporters' to whine about Fox News.

If the White House's "strategy" was to drive up the 'Not-a-News-Organization' news organization's ratings off the charts while pushing Obama's lame-o numbers even further south, it's worked swimmingly. Politico grandees think this lunatic "strategy" is an effort to "quarantine" Fox News -- which is sorta like closing the barn door once the horses escape. You can talk "quarantining" until the Rachel Maddcows come home, but this only makes sense as some fizzled longshot effort to preempt some big Watergate-sized scandal you know is coming down the pike. Bigger than ACORN? Maybe. But if you're Obama's lonely brain cell and choosing whether to take Afghan advice from Generals in the field or Ballerina boy is a months-long bewildering exercise, "isolating" a network juggernaut that runs 13 of the 15 biggest cable news audience-magnets could look like a 'smart idea' in Obamastan.

Anyway, that's...

Thanks. Made my morning, as usual. Have to be careful not to spit my coffee on the keyboard while laughing out loud...
