This has been my worry for quite a while. Will we start seeing an increase in crime as desperate people, used to getting welfare checks, no longer receive them?

"I wonder if the senators of this great country ever wake up worrying about how to pay their electric bill or feed their family. I do," said Todd Bowling. Funny, not once in this article do they use the term "Democrats".

The economy is no longer an issue with the Congress. The Obama agenda has seen to that. The economy goes, and so do the jobs. In stark contrast to the OPINION of the socialists in Congress and the MSM, the private sector makes jobs, not the government. The government has control over the general economy and that is where Obama, et al, have closed the valve.

In those two weeks the Senate has failed to act, an estimated 200,000 Americans have lost a lifeline. Obviously, it's a vast right wing conspiracy and Bush is leading it.

"I wonder if the senators of this great country ever wake up worrying about how to pay their electric bill or feed their family. Simply put, a great number of our Senators and Congress people don't bother with worrying about it. They write a check regardless of whether or not they have enough money to cover it.

Unemployment will get extended forever...it is a new welfare system.
People dumped off unemployment will soon sour of the 0 and become republican voters. Those left clinging to an endlessly extended unemployment check will be dem voters....this is why it will be extended!

You would think that a Democrat congress that can waste a trillion tax dollars on a porkulus spending spree could come up with the funds for lifetime “unemployment” welfare.

How can people be so worried when they have the chance to serve the Dear Leader. They should be happy he got the Nobel Peace Price; he’s clearly the most qualified ever to receive the award.

It’s all George Bush’s fault. His failed policies are kicking in now. Praise the Dalibama.

We’ve had 4 or 5 separate extensions to unemployment.
Last I counted, it was up to something like 91 weeks (!)

I wonder if the senators of this great country ever wake up worrying about how to pay their electric bill No, silly. They are too busy worrying about how to make those bills bigger so they have more funds for themselves and to spread around for votes.
