Love your tagline...

the more they mess things up, I am reassured we will take the 2010 elections. But, i am worried we may not be able to undo the mess they will create before the elections.

"I think we've got to do something about it," said Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y. "We've got to make sure health insurance is affordable for the middle class."

Sure, Chuckie, just like y'all made college educations "affordable" for the middle class.

If you think health care is expensive now, just wait until it's free.

Government has already destroyed the ability of middle class Americans to buy health insurance at affordable rates. Many states mandate that sniffles, vaccinations, baby well-checks, etc. be paid for. However, the expensive things, like surgeries often are covered after high deductibles and percentage splits (to make the policies reasonably affordable). So, you get your well-baby check “for free”, pay really high premiums, and still have high medical bills if someone has something catastrophic happen.

Wouldn’t it make so much more sense to pay the $100 for the annual well-baby check, the $200 for vaccinations every few years, $70 for the office visit and have cheaper catastrophic coverage? Why can’t the government allow us that freedom?

I have heard that there are more than 135,000 pages of regulations to wade through if you take Medicare money. The cost of the paperwork must be even more than the cost of liability insurance. So the President promises to get the monkey off the back of medical care by putting another monkey on the back of the first monkey?

Most of the uninsured are in households headed by someone who's self-employed or works at a business that doesn't provide coverage. It's this group that Democrats are trying to help.

Sure. That's why they are outlawing HSAs. Help my *ss.

“Why can’t the government allow us that freedom?”

Thanks, I’m certain you already are aware, but your post allows me a segue to a rant ;)

The goal of the Left, be they the obvious Democrat Left, Communist Left, Green Left, or the sleight of hand Leftist RINO is control of the masses and the money.

The Left see’s you and myself as nothing more than herd animals to keep, and maintain for their personal use, as in slavery, sustenance, and wealth. I’m not talking about Soylent Green when I say sustenance, but am referring to their natural egotistical need to feed off the power they gain by ability to control, and how many they individually control within their new World order will determine their status within their Leftist caste.

The Left has to be stopped, and the Left has to be condemned to obscurity from the politics of our lives. They are as a perpetual virus making life a miserable experience.

The new taxes they’re proposing will help give those illegals health insurance so they won’t have to use the ER. I guess WE will have to start using the ER.
