US Census Connection with SEIU Still Intact After ACORN Termination

The U.S. Census Bureau delegated work to outside groups for the federal 2010 census. Following the release of undercover videos showing ACORN workers helping a fake pimp and prostitute illegally secure housing, the Census Bureau terminated its partnership with ACORN. The House and Senate voted to block federal funding for ACORN and ACORN-related affiliates, including SEIU. While the Census Bureau terminated its partnership with ACORN, it left its close connection with SEIU intact.

Given SEIU’s co-location with ACORN in Chicago and SEIU’s intimate financial relationship with ACORN, we should take action to protect the public from the corruption of the 2010 census. To defend the integrity of the process, the Census Bureau should end its close relationship with ACORN’s close sister organization, the SEIU.

Official filings show that SEIU, referenced in the U.S. Attorney’s indictment of Governor Rod Blagojevich, contributed more than $4 million to ACORN and its affiliates since 2006. According to recent Department of Labor filings, the SEIU employs ACORN Founder and ACORN International Chief Organizer Wade Rathke. Mr. Rathke was recently exposed for running a cover-up of an embezzlement scheme run by his brother.

MESSAGE We demand the census provide penetrating census forms for illegal aliens. How many identies they are using, multiple precincts in which they are registered to vote, how many welfare checks, UI checks, disability checks, EITC refunds each illegal is pocketing. How many subprime mortgage loans they stuck US citizens with. Income from dealing drugs and other income not reported to the IRS. Specific orders they received from foreign governments ---or their agents---to defraud the US census.

Mesenbourg would be violating the law if he did not advise census takers that it is a US citizen's lawful obligation to report an illegal alien's presence and place of employment. All census takers should be provided with the phone number for ICE (TOLL FREE 1-866-347-2423).

Immigration law that requires that aliens be documented for legal entry. (1) Those who sneak into the country are referred to as `entry without inspection` (EWI). (2) Others enter with legal documentation and then violate the terms on which they have been admitted by taking jobs that are not authorized or overstaying the authorized period of stay in the country.

ACORN's Illegal Activities and Mafia-Style Tactics in Congress’s Spotlight

Members of Congress heard testimony against the activist group ACORN on Thursday, exposing the group's illegal activity and mafia-style tactics. Pittsburgh lawyer Heather Heidelbaugh appeared before the a House Judiciary subcommittee alleging that the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) has violated campaign finance and tax laws in addition to their protest-for-hire and coerced donations.

The source of the accusations was from the sworn testimony of ACORN whistleblower Anita MonCrief, who was a clerk for ACORN's sister organization called Project Vote.

MonCrief, a Democrat and Obama supporter, testified last year that Barack Obama's campaign gave Project Vote a "donor list" of people who had contributed the maximum amount allowed by federal law. According to Heidelbaugh's testimony, the donors were to be targeted to donate to ACORN's "Get Out the Vote" efforts and finance voter registration drives.

REMEDY Taxpayers demand an injunction requiring states immediately cease accepting so-called voter registrations submitted by SEIU/ACORN, and that all current voter rolls be cross-referenced against SEIU/ACORN'S lists of 'registrations' already submitted to nullify any and all voter frauds committed.
