Oh, I thought everybody knew that he was blowing smoke with that inane comment; do you think he really thought that GGG wasn’t a contributer?

I have never called anybody names here and Im not going to be told I have. Look at my posting history and you will see that. Secondly I have been called a few on these threads, which I dot care about. And thirdly, I have been a lurker for years. Just because I signed up recently makes no difference. Its the quality of the posts. And I dont go on these thread harassing anyone. I stumbled on the first science keyword post I found and I thought it was a satire piece, but was told by a few different people, this is what passes as “science”.

I then made the pointless waste of time trying to debate, when all is needed is pure agreement with nonsense and nodding of heads. If that is what is desired, thats fine by me. Ive made plenty of rational scientific based arguments that completely contradicts what are in these posts, and I get called names and my argument ignored or twisted.

The same stuff happens on other treads too, especially Palin threads, whom I happen to support. Plenty of name calling and hate from so called conservatives attacking her, so Im already familiar with it.

I wasn’t referring to you (in terms of making personal attacks).

You are one of the few who HASN’T made a personal attack (unless you count the POND SCUM reference).

Lower the IQ of FR a little. Remember, you can't spell CREATIONIST without C-R-E-T-I-N...

LOL!

==Remember, you can't spell CREATIONIST without C-R-E-T-I-N

Seeing how the evos think that life comes from non-life, intelligence from non-intelligence, the digital DNA code from inanimate matter...it is the evos that qualify as mentally stunted cretins. And since Creationists and IDers are for open debate re: origins, whereas your fellow jackbooted evos are for scientific censorship, it is the evos who are aping the Luddites. And since the evo-cretinist-Luddite shoe fits your fellow Temple of Darwin fanatics, I think it is high time you evo-cretinist-Luddites started wearing it. Indeed, I think I shall make it a practice to point that out hence forward.

Thanks for the great idea!--GGG

Some HUMOR for us all.

(“Everywhere I look, in fact, nothin’ but undeveloped, un-evolved, barely conscious pond scum. Totally convinced of their own superiority as they scurry about their short, pointless lives . . .”

C’mon now, you have been following these threads for a while. Do you really think I have a problem with the differing opinions of people who are respectful of my opionions? I have a lot of people on my list whose interpretation of Genesis is far different than my own, and yet we get along just fine. Why do you suppose that is???

It wasn’t you, it was someone else asking if you called GGG ‘pond scum’ (I think it was just a joke).

Dr. Humphreys’ predictions turned out to be correct

So did Velikovsky's. His theory is still nuts.

Here's a little something you need to get your mind around.

Spam is not permitted on FR. (The moderators will pull threads deemed to be spam)

Here is what the gentleman who owns FR had to say about GGG's threads.

Whining and calling these threads spam, is nothing more than barfing on the carpet.

But hey, if thats the best you've got, so be it.

What I was saying was that you have a tendency to quickly ‘categorize’ posters, sometimes unfairly.

I do acknowledge that you have shown a great amount of civility in dealing with the rash comments from some posters.

I also acknowledge that you have respected the difference in our personal views. It is one of the reasons I enjoy debating this subject with you.

Back to the original question, I was referring to your comment that seemed to indicate there were only two points of view, both extremist.

PS Mr. Socialist is trying to play the victim. Our little spat didn’t come out of nowhere. The newb began insulting me from the first time he ever replied to one of my threads. Here’s an example. You will also note his rank ignorance of the difference between operational and historical/origins science on the same thread.

I have no problem with religion and I have said that in several posts. I also have no problem with the idea of creation or ID. What I do have a problem with is it being called science. Also saying that Catholics are not really Christians isnt helpful either. Its not what I got, and I really dont care either way.

I would say that, in this exchange, he isn’t playing the victim, he has been pwned fair and square, because he played a bad bluff with the “donate to FR” attack.

After that, there was really no way he could win the battle.

And I dont own the website, so whatever the owner wants to put on it is none of my business. If he wants to allow it, fine by me. But just so you know the judeo-christian world is not fundamentalist by and large, and these articles, like it or not, do nothing to add to the ranks of like minded conservatives. They just divide us. And im not even Catholic, but here is a good example.

Vatican Condemns Literal Interpretation of the Bible

VATICAN CITY, Italy - The Vatican criticized a literal interpretation of the Bible
and said the fundamentalist approach to scripture was “a kind of intellectual suicide.”
A Vatican document said fundamentalism “refuses to admit that the inspired Word of God has been
expressed in human language... by human authors possessed of limited capacities and resources.”
The 125-page document, The Interpretation of the Bible in the Church, was written by the Pontifical Biblical Com-mission, a group of scholars who assist the Pope in the study of scripture.
It noted that a fundamentalist interpretation of the Bible had been gaining strength. The Vatican is
increasingly concerned about the number of Catholics, especially in Latin America, who have abandoned the church for fast-growing fundamentalist sects.
“The fundamentalist approach is dangerous, for it is attractive to people who look to the Bible for ready answers to the problems of life,” the document said. Fundamentalism actually invites people to a kind of intellectual suicide.”
A fundamentalist interpretation of the Bible began during the Reformation, when Protestants showed an increasing concern for fidelity to the literal meaning of scripture.
The document said fundamentalism refused to admit that there was a human element in the transmission of the Word of God.
One member of the commission, Jesuit Father Joseph Fitzmyer, said fundamentalists failed to recognize that several years elapsed between the time Jesus spoke and the time when the gospels were written.
“There was no stenographer, no one with a tape recorder on that time,” said Fitzmyer.
