Pakistan Taliban Commander: We Have 'Thousands of Suicide Bombers' Who Can 'Target Washington, Paris, London, and Kabul'
On August 25, 2009, a Pakistani Urdu-language newspaper reported that Waliur Rehman, the commander of the Taliban militants in Pakistan's tribal district of South Waziristan Agency, had said that his group has "thousands of suicide bombers" who can "target Washington, Paris, London, and Kabul."

Yep, most of the Taliban threats are meant for the Afghanistan-Pakistan area.
The unfortunate truth is that the jihad is global, and it doesn’t take a person from Pakistan to carry out the threat in any of these locations.
So, bottom line, this is a threat duly posted, duly noted and now it is archived.

I’m a conservative, not a Republican. I’ve pretty much disowned the best rep in the US House, John Kline, for voting — twice! — for the first bailout that started all the bailouts and stimuli and buyings and other Bountiful Stuff (a Glenn Beck euphimism for BS).
I know we should care about our elected and appointed officials, regardless of party. There are some good ones — but so BLASTED few! Lighten up and consider having most of the dross, and only some of the keepers, just gone....

Do people remember Colonel Muammar Qaddafi calling up and letting George W. know that he was playing nice now and of course there are dead guys like the leader of Iraq and unknown numbers of guys that thought they were the next man up to lead the Taliban or whatever.

Three types of ERW were built by the United States.
The W66 warhead, for the anti-ICBM Sprint missile system, was produced and deployed in the mid 1970s and retired soon thereafter, along with the missile system.
The W70 Mod 3 warhead was developed for the short-range, tactical Lance missile, and the W79 Mod 0 was developed for artillery shells.
The latter two types were retired by President George H. W. Bush in 1992, following the end of the Cold War.
The last W70 Mod 3 warhead was dismantled in 1996, and the last W79 Mod 0 was dismantled by 2003, when the dismantling of all W79 variants was completed.
But don't worry, Russia, China, and even Israel have them aplenty.

You mean you still have doubts? It should be apparent to most people that many terrorists have been here quite some time, waiting for orders to complete their plans. Did you see the released docs last week that outlined the terrorist actions stopped by water boarding? One of them was a second strike by the same people who attacked the WTC, but they called it off after Bush put his security measures into play.
They are here, just waiting and Bozo the WH clown is giving them all the rope they need to attack us again.
If it ever gets to that point, there will be no detention centers for FReepers, only showers and crematoriums.

I remember dierectly after 9/11, literally within minutes of being attacked, I was planning for the coming war and my part in it when a young man stated that he was very disturbed by all of the talk about war, that we had to understand that these kinds of things make us all “stronger” and that we should not use military force at all just because we were attacked - and bodies were falling out of the NY sky.
My point is that I fear that surrender - or a similar compromise - would be perfectly acceptable to many, many people here.
We also need to plan how to protect ourselves from them.
