Return Christian girl to her Ohio Muslim family?

Fathima Rifqa Bary, 17, says she became a Christian and fled Ohio to stay with an Orlando pastor's family because her father vowed to kill her for converting. Should she be sent back to her own family?

* Yes. Kids who run away tell fibs all the time to justify leaving. There's no evidence her family would kill her.

* No. If there's any chance at all that she is telling the truth, whoever returns her will have to answer for anything bad that happens to her.

* Maybe. Florida and Ohio should thoroughly check out her family first.

There is speculation on another thread that she simply ran away to be with a boyfriend. Don't know if true, but here's a picture that was posted:

She said that her father is commanded by the Koran to kill her for converting. Will the court take this into consideration? If so, that will surely inflame the muzzies. Could you imagine a court reading Koran verses into evidence? This has the potential to get real interesting.

Worldwide Islam practices institutionalized honor killings daily all over the world...apostasy is punished with death if refusal to return to Islam is ignored or refused, as has been done for 1400 years. It is fact, not opinion, or open to Western ‘change’.

Look up Muslim apostasy (leaving Islam).

Yeah, sure, THAT will happen! A judge or government bureaucrat actually being held responsible for their action? I've long believed that parole boards should be held responsible from crimes committed by the people they release, but nobody listens to me.

Well, she most likely would have been killed for that too, if not the Christian thing. Unless he was muslim too.

A Muslim man may marry a woman of any religion. A Muslim woman dishonors her family by marrying or even dating or less a non-Muslim man and is subject to honor killing also...check it out.

No way should this girl be returned to her nutty muzzie familly. Doesn’t matter why she left now,she caused shame and is subject to honor killing.

I doubt she did it to run away with a boyfriend. She ran all the way to Florida. We know from her face-book page she's been a Christen for at least two years and Sharia law proscribes death for leaving Islam. She ran to save her life. Lying about her motives is the CAIR strategy to minimize damage to the reputation of Islam.

And honor killings happen right here in America, and Canada several times a year as well, media just covers them up.

It could get interesting, but you can bet the courts will cover it up.

Either way, the girl is 17, if she is determined to stay away from her parents, she should simply get emancipated. Then she is legally an adult and doesn't have to be in foster care. She can get a job and start living on her own.

Isn’t she old enough to leave. At 17 can they actually get her back against her will?
