I was trying to find the C Span film made some time back, probably during Hillarycare, where people from Denmark were testifying before Congress that more than 5,000 a year were put to death, unwillingly, because their healthcare costs too much. They have some sort of board that, if I remember corectly, takes a computer decision, and cuts off healthcare from people that want to live.
Of course the Dems pooh poohed it, but the witnesses were compelling. Their family members were cut off their treatments purly for money reasons. Of course there are many that accept the death decision, but many more want the meds to live. You have no recourse. they cut you off. Of course, if you have cancer, spending $100k more may or may not help, but to just tell them "NO" is pretty cold. The state just takes it for granted you won't make it and makes sure you don't.
I will be out of town for a day or so, so if anybody comes up with anything, feel free to send it to Beck, Hanity, O'riely, or anyone they feel may use it. I have Googled several phrases and gone to C Span for archives to no avail. If anybody doubts there will be "Death Pannels" just harken back to Terri Shiavo and recall the blood thirsty calls for her murder by many who were willing to rob her of her "inalienable" right to life. The judge was a Probate judge who's normal fare was deciding who gets the silverware. Our laws state that only a criminal court can deprive you of your life or liberty in a capital crime. What was her dastardly deed? Many at the time screamed it was a slipery slope we were on, well here we are.
I know many people that are in worse shape than Terri was then. Will we empty nursing homes of "useless eaters" just to make room for the next wave of Baby Boomers? In the future we will have government officials deciding you must die to lower the "carbon footprint" with no lawyers, judges, courts, or legal protections to save you.
couldn’t find it, but this is a good idea. I’m curious what socialist nations might have something similar to death panels elsewhere in the world we could use as an example?
