A convicted killer who has been waiting years for a judge in Boston to rule on a request for a sex-change operation is now asking to be allowed electrolysis treatments.

Michelle Kosilek was born as Robert and has been living as a woman in an all-male prison in Norfolk after being sentenced to life for the murder of his wife, Cheryl, in 1990.

What a time to celebrate the mosaic that is America and be tolerant and open-minded (done with mocking liberals). /sarc

Shouldn’t s/he be in a woman’s prison? Where it would be RAL punishment?

I suggest a compromise.

Grant the request, but use an electric chair for this “electrolysis” process. He/it will no longer have to worry about unwanted bosy hair (or ANY hair for that matter); and we the people won’t have to concern ourselves with he/it eating up our tax dollars for the next 35 years or so.

I see it as a win/win proposition!

Does Bulwer-Lytton give awards for headlines?

This would be a good idea if 100,000 volts is used for the electrolysis.

"Robert has been living as a woman in an all-male prison in Norfolk after being sentenced to life for the murder of his wife, Cheryl, in 1990."

That's just the way it goes in prison sometimes. He's someone's biotch, so what.

That doesn't warrant a sex change or electrolysis on MY dime. He's just going to have to be happy being a woman in his mind, and the other fudge packing prisoners will just have to keep shaving his butt if they want it feminine looking.
