Obama's killer disease slips into remission
The Washington Times ^ | 24 July 2009 | Wes Pruden

The killer disease dispensed by Barack Obama slipped into remission yesterday, and we can be thankful it did. "Remission" is not "cure," but it's a start.

Harry Reid, the leader of the Democrats in the Senate, led the obsequies for the rush to judgment, though he was not necessarily obsequious about it. "It's better to have a product based on quality and thoughtfulness rather than trying to jam something through." Nary a Republican in Washington could have said it better.

The president is trying to make the best of the demise of his promise to get health care "reform" on his desk for a signature before Congress goes home on Aug. 7. "That's OK, I just want to keep the people working," he said late Thursday. "I just want it done by the end of the year. I want it done by the fall." This is brave face-saving talk from the man who insisted for months that he had to have his health care "reform" by August, or the sky would fall (or at least cloud over, darkly). He took particular exception to a Republican senator's boast that the GOP would make health care "reform" the president's Waterloo. His taking the senator's bait dramatically raised the stakes in the struggle.

Absolutely right, Frantzie.

Freepers, find out where YOUR representative’s town hall meeting is, attend, and be heard!

Thanks. We need to get as many people as possible to the Town Hall meetings with House and Senate vermin in our local areas. Swamp them. If there is overflow we get dozens or hundreds outside chanting “No To Obama DeathCare!”

Another chat is “Where is The Birth Certificate!”

We need to video tap them for You Tube. We will need a lot of people because they will eventually get SEIU/ACORN thugs at the meetings.

I was talking to someone who works with healthy elderly people who are 60 to 80+. They are terrified that Obama will be asking them to take the red or blue pill and go die under Obama DeathCare.

No fan of Harry Reid here, but he, like the rest of the 'rat senate leadership, knows this Obama critter for the empty fraud that he is. Maybe that's why bamster gets no respect from the senate rats.

I was so happy to see the thing delayed.

Has anyone seen page 909?

It states something along the line of: in giving out training funds, the entity making the decision is to give preferential treatment to minority training groups. Obama is going to go down as the most racist president in modern history.

Pruden’s lead on this news story is a classic. It won’t be used as a example in the current journalism schools—but it should be.

IOW, he just wants it done by some unspecified time period. Check out PJ Comix's 'blog entry and the link there to the Daily Kos screed about how the faux healthcare plan is going to be Waterloo -- either for Obama or for us.

They are redrafting now and trying to get this passed by the end of the year.
There is a FREE mailing that is going out that you can e-sign, a petition that is going to congress. The link is

http://www.grassfire.net/r.asp?u=20491&PID=21718877

PLEASE take the minute to sign it. You don’t have to contribute, just sign the petition. Keep the pressure on.

When this health care bill is on it’s last leg, lets kick it out from under it before it gets back on it’s feet.

Let yoru representatives know in no uncertain terms that messing with our health care in this country is not acceptable in any way shape or form.

Pass the link on, help it go viral.

I don’t want it done at all. Screw national health care. No matter what form it takes the people will suffer under it. I don’t want the government handling my health care. I don’t want to be told to go off and die next time I get sick.
