The purpose of this document is to describe planning scenarios for state and local governments to target high-priority populations for vaccination in order to reduce the health and societal impact of the novel H1N1 influenza virus.

Background

Data from U.S. and international sources suggests that it is appropriate to plan for a vaccination program to reduce the health and societal impacts of the novel H1N1 influenza virus. In order to increase the probability of success of such a program, planning scenarios should be provided to state and local health authorities promptly. Planning scenarios can facilitate readiness to implement specific plans within states and large cities, improving the chances that vaccine will reach target populations when recommendations are made, and that distribution, delivery, and communication efforts regarding vaccination will overcome local challenges and maximize capacities.

I noticed the word “offering” in the document.

My question is how long before it goes from “offering” the vaccine to “mandatory”.

And how will you prove you got the ‘vaccine’? Are they gonna stamp your hand/ Provide you with papers?

The last time I got a flue shot it darned near killed me. No way in hades am I taking this thing.

"Target population: Students and staff (all ages) associated with schools (K-12th grade) and children (age ≥6 months) and staff (all ages) in child care centers. Primary venues: schools and child care centers. Goals: Provide direct protection against illness among persons who have high attack rates of illness, reduce likelihood of outbreaks that may lead to disruptive school dismissals, reduce transmission from schools into homes and the community." All children 6 mos. to 18 years old. I will not allow this untested vaccine to be forced on our kids. They will home school instead.

We’ll get the vaccine. It will be as much tested as the regular flu vaccine.

My kids are high risk for complications from flu, so that’s why we’ll get it.

Lots of medical scams...diabetes, cholesterol, flu........they make billions off of this stuff.......(The infernal triangle (AMA, FDA, DRUG COMPANIES).
Medical profession members are possibly all more brilliant than I am.

It won’t be. There is only so many months before this happens... this will be the test. Like that vaccine for cervical cancer that covers 3% of strains was sold for girls as young as 10.... never tested on minors BTW but Rick Perry wanted it to be forced on every girl in Texas.

Without a doubt, my son will be getting this shot. He’s a type one diabetic who tends to have a *very* strong immune response to viruses. As far as I’ve read, he’s a prime candidate to have problems with this flu.

My daughter is 17 and is already refusing this vaccine. I’ve tried to tell her that this is just like the other flu vaccines we get every year, but she doesn’t buy it. “Have you heard *nothing* about this administration??”

I’m not as worried about her as I am my son, so I might let it slide. I’ll have to do more homework before a decision is made.

I don’t know. There is a government meeting on July 29th to decide who gets the vaccine.
