AUGUSTA, Maine The Maine Human Rights Commission ruled Monday that the Orono School Department discriminated against a transgender child by denying her access to the girls bathroom.
While the school departments lawyer warned that schools around the state may not be ready to manage the practical fallout from the decision, civil liberties advocates hailed the ruling as an advancement of human rights.

Unisex bathrooms for EVERYONE! (It’s the Law!)

Don’t call this kid “her.”
If it has (or had) a schlong and/or XY chromosomes, it’s a boy, unless there are genetic issues involved.
So genitalia is no longer the determining factor to gender? Now we have a so-called "Gender-Identity"?
What a complete load of horse pucky...
Not only is “shim” a bio boy, “shim” is STILL sporting a tripod!
Get that little lollipop licker out of there and into mental counseling, along with it’s (so-called) parents!!!
“discriminated against a transgender child by denying ***her**** access to the girls bathroom.”
These days you have to ask, does this “her” have a penis?
hard to tell whether genetic issues are involved from reading the article, but Wikipedia says “Between 0.1% and 0.2% of live births are ambiguous enough to become the subject of specialist medical attention, including surgery to disguise their sexual ambiguity.”
if this child is only in fifth grade and having these kinds of identity issues I’d charitably assume he/she is in that 0.1% category? otherwise this child has very progressive parents.
WTF is a transgender child.
Do we now live in a country where CHILDREn are allowed to mutilate their sexual organs before they are even supposed to know what they’re for?
FIFTH grade? That’s 11 or 12 years old!
In my opinion, this child’s parents need to be investigated as possible/likely pedophiles.
Those 0.1% to 0.2% are clssified as hermaphrodites; NOT “transgender”.
At first I thought... herm? Too young for a sex change...
Also check this snip:
Hewey said school officials had the childs interests in mind.
Not only did they provide accommodation, a separate bathroom, that was the bathroom that the students health care practitioner recommended, she said.
— Why does the kid have a health care practitioner?
Are the taxpayers paying for it via an IEP (Indiv. Ed Plan)?
Well it was my understanding that “transgender” is an umbrella term that covers everyone from cross-dressers to hermaphrodites (aka “intersex” people).
Wikipedia backs me up here that the term “transgender” as used today also covers these biologically-ambiguous people. (The pictures on that Wikipedia page are a bit disturbing though, so consider yourself warned ...)
My point was that if the Bangor Daily News decided it was impolite to delve into anatomical details of a fifth-grader, they might’ve just used the word “transgender” to describe this kid who’s already having enough trouble as it is without his/her genitalia described in a newspaper.
No, just ignore the ruling by this Politburo, and gather the parents of all girls, have them and their kids file separate lawsuits against the "boy's" parents and the Politburo on grounds of endangering their children and violation of privacy.
It can wear lipstick and a dress and its still not a female
I think “her” does
A self mutilated man or woman, is still a man or woman, they have not changed their gender. Why we pander to the mentally insane is beyond me.
“civil liberties advocates hailed the ruling as an advancement of human rights.”
G-d-fearing Jews and Christians condemn the ruling as a decline of Western civilization.
This child’s parents should be locked up. What they are doing to their son is horrific child abuse. Wouldn’t doubt that this boy has been sexually abused by a homosexual pedophile.
Because thanks to the liberals homosexuality, trans genders, bi sexuals (and they are working on including pedophiles and bestiality in this group) are no longer considered to be mentally ill nor an abomination against God.
How much longer before God rains his wrath down on them and those that support and encourage them?
