The ancient Greek myth of Prometheus is the tragic and enduring narrative of a heroic figure who many publicly despised but secretly venerated, because he did feats of strength that others had neither the vision, intellect nor the heart to achieve.

Prometheus, renown for his clever intelligence, became a champion of humanity when he stole fire from Zeus and gave it to mortals. For this crime Prometheus was bound to a rock by Zeus while a giant eagle ate his liver every day only to have it grow back to be eaten again the next day for eternity.

The sad thing is that he actually believes that he is the only one that has “ALL” the answers. He makes some good points....once in awhile.....but so do other people. He’s just arrogant and I don’t believe his statements that he has 20 million listeners. Thankfully, I seldom listen to him.....only when I’m in the car and don’t have anything else to listen to.

Doc Savage was a favorite read of mine in my youth (reprint editions, naturally.) Regardless of his shameless donning of that iconic 1930's mantle, Dr. Michael Weiner does make many a salient conservative point.

I suspect that the very attractive Sarah Palin intimidates our good radio host, whose rough childhood and rougher introduction into affirmative action academia had scarred him somewhat. Despite his neurotic view of life, his logic and insight are most times very accurate in doping out the current political scene. I will never forget how immediately he pounced on the Duke Lacrosse Team fiasco, even before the other talking heads had time to organize their bullet point screeds.

I will continue to listen to his bombast for the nuggets of wisdom that he in-artfully buries within his daily litany.

Savage tells the truth. He will cheerfully offend the left or the right. He criticizes Rush and other conservative commentators for an all too frequent lack of courage to make accusations and name names. Savage is both entertaining and informative, just like Rush. But he goes much further in attacking the enemy.

Rush is a phony conservative. He does not talk about gays, the Bible, but this former DJ (without a college degree) will lecture people about family even though he is not married with children.

That show is dreadful. He takes off early and has people on with pre-recorded crap that are disguised as interviews. It isn’t even a good show, and I used to listen to Savage when he started on KGO.
