She was trolling for donations, yes? You should have cut to the chase and asked for the address, so you could send a tea bag.

“She told me how shameful it was that Mr. Obama would bow to a Saudi and was urging my support of the RNC. “
I would have countered how shameful it was for the RNC to give us a presidential candidate who was chosen to lose.

The GOP has become Democrat light, and that is shameful.

Let me get this straight. An American President, of African origin (and probable citizenship), actually bowed before a Muslim potentate? WTF is that about? I'm certain that protocol doesn't require the United States offering it's collective butt for raping. Does idiot Obama understand the symbolic surrendering he's offered in his "gesture of solidarity"? I knew our State Department was practically useless and traitorous from the Clinton era but this takes the cake.
These people require the example of force because they are under the delusion of their cult. With them there is no middle ground or negotiations. Islamists require "Wack-A-Mole" response - as fast as possible.

I just got a phone call from a nice lady who said she had a message for me from Michael Steele...You're a better man than I am-- anything from the Stupid Party gets refused here, right off the bat.
I did not leave them- they left me, before the 2006 debacle and they've gotten even stupider since then.
Show me a candidate who will fight for smaller government, fewer taxes, and laws, and regulations, and who understands the importance of the Bill of Rights and a strong military, and I'll give 'em my heart and soul.
Others need not apply...

I feel sorry for these either paid or volunteer G.O.P. fund seekers.
I have been called or written many times by the party asking for money. I tell them all that as soon as the party takes a stand against RINOs I will give only to those deserving.
Actual real less govt. is best got. types if ya can find any.

That does not say much for the intelligence of Maine residents. Massachusetts is the same way. Here, Republicans are really Democrats, and Democrats are Socialists or worse.
The alternative, as presented, is to stay home and give the election to the Democrats, or vote the lesser evil.
Third parties usually accomplish the same thing as staying home. Perot elected Clinton.
That said, the RNC got a good rant from me last week as well.

"I live in Maine...The reason RINOs like Susan Collins and Olympia Snowe get elected is this: Every time one of these senators is up for re-election, their democrat opponents are ultra, far leftists in the mold of Cindy Sheehan or Ted Kennedy...Collins and Snowe come off looking like mainstream conservatives when compared with their looney tune opponents (even though Collins and Snowe are not conservative)." Thank you for your explanation of WTH's going on up there. ;^)
Yours has been the only damned thing I've heard OR read that not only explains the situation; but, makes horse sense.

No more money from me until we return to Reagan's vision for America... yes Cedric... I know this is 193,318 times... stick around... my post count will go up on this subject!
When they tell me that same spiel on their numerous calls... I tell them, “That is exactly what is wrong with the GOP and why you can't raise enough money to buy a lunch at McDonald's. The dims have ALL of the money because while their members are sick evil doers for satan... their party LISTENS to those with the $$$$$$$$$”!

"At that comment, my Gentle Caller protested that the RNC does not support any candidates in primaries...I told her...I told her...I told her...She again told me the RNC doesn't support closed primaries." BWWWHAAAAAAAA!!!!!!
For cryin' out loud, my friend.
See, that's the difference right there SOA.
The Democrat Party?
They've volunteers who really buy the bilge line hook, line and sinker shilling their suckers.
The GOP, OTOH, are paying minimum wage to sweet young thangs who're by any other name mercenaries reading off cue cards calling us. :o)
Gotta say one thing tho', man you've some kinda memory to have ripped-off [that] list of hyper-legitemate grievances like you did.
When I was a kid I'd do sometimes do crap that'd get my old man so pissed off he'd scream so loud his dentures would start falling out.
When[ever]it happened I couldn't help but LOL; which, naturally sent the poor man into low Earth orbit.
Point is he'd become so angry, he no longer made sense.
Today when I get these idiots on the phone?
I'm so angry --as you-- I forget everything I wanted to say, not that'd it'd matter, anyway. {Thank God for Caller ID, is all I can say.}
While I may be just a chip off the ol' block?
You did good maintaining a disciplined composure.
Unfortunately composure or not, I'm betting they still didn't get the message. :^)

I'm late reading this thread but I'd like you to further explain this to me if you would be so kind:
I told her it was time for CLOSED primaries.
She again told me the RNC doesn't support closed primaries.
Why close the primaries? What advantage and what does it mean?

The fact that ANYONE can call themselves Republican and then run for office under the GOP ticket is exactly why the freaking left has almost taken over BOTH parties. Indeed. Here in NY Mayor Bloomberg (seeking third term) has abandoned his independent status (originally a dem, then pubbie then indy) to run again on the republican ticket. Why? Local news boasts it's "location location" as to where his name will appear on the ticket and then added he was welcomed by the GOP with open arms.
Great rant. They always seem to catch me flat footed while I'm rushing to prepare dinner and reasons are the last thing on my mind.
