RANT: I just read the (Tea Party) Riot Act to a RNC telephone fund solicitor (vanity)
4/24/09 | self

Posted on 04/24/2009 8:15:54 PM PDT by The Spirit Of Allegiance

I just got a phone call from a nice lady who said she had a message for me from Michael Steele.

She told me how shameful it was that Mr. Obama would bow to a Saudi and was urging my support of the RNC.

I cut her spiel short and agreed that the bow and overall moral cowardice of that man is a disgrace. (I am praying that Mr. Obama will become a man of courage and decency.)

I then made it very clear that in my eyes, Mr. Steele has been less than a mighty force for Conservatism--so far. I pointed out how he has been wimpy on the Second Amendment, got thoroughly feedbacked and has taken a better position of late.

I noted that the RNC is not yet taking a strong enough stand about the BLOODY hands of the Kansas Governor/HHS candidate, nor about the loathsome loose lips of the DHS figurehead Napolitano.

I told her I'm the last person who would hope to see the GOP divided but I am not satisfied that the RNC's agenda is satisfactory--and as a result I will support local/state and national candidates directly instead of through the RNC.

At that comment, my Gentle Caller protested that the RNC does not support any candidates in primaries.

I told her it was TIME THEY DID.

I told her it was time they posted criteria on who and why they supported such.

I told her it was time for CLOSED primaries.

She again told me the RNC doesn't support closed primaries.

I didn't have the chance to mention the RNC's general vacuum-like absence of SUPPORT of its GRASSROOTS BASE at the 4/15 Tea Parties.

I did tell her I would be posting details of this conversation here at FR.

I didn't get around to mentioning how the last two Christmases I've been wished "Happy Holidays" instead of Merry Christmas so I'll add that thought here as well.

"She again told me the RNC doesn't support closed primaries."

i.e., they'll support anyone who even CLAIMS to be a Republican - this must be how disgraces like Susan Collins, Olympia Snowe, and Lindsey Graham got elected.

Tell them what I tell them:
When Steele resigns, I'll contribute again.

The fact that ANYONE can call themselves Republican and then run for office under the GOP ticket is exactly why the freaking left has almost taken over BOTH parties. The courts ruled int Tennessee that merely winning the primary did not guarantee that you would be your party’s candidate. The state party may put anyone they desire on the ticket. With a strong state party chairman (or chairwoman in our case), the RINO leaning Republicans have straightened up and are flying right.

I live in Maine.

The reason RINOs like Susan Collins and Olympia Snowe get elected is this: Every time one of these senators is up for re-election, their democrat opponents are ultra, far leftists in the mold of Cindy Sheehan or Ted Kennedy.

Collins and Snowe come off looking like mainstream conservatives when compared with their looney tune opponents (even though Collins and Snowe are not conservative).

Well, the RNC has good reasons for:

a) Not supporting closed primaries;

b) Frontloading the primary schedule with liberal states and penalizing any conservative states that try to move up their dates.

These reasons are obvious. They want to see Big-Tent Country Club RINOs win as often as possible.

There’s no way in hell that Loser McCain, the feeblest candidate since Bob Dole, could have won the nomination if the primaries had been decently run. But by the time most conservatives got to vote, it was already too late.

I ask them if they have ever heard of the Constitution of the United States of America?

Then I explain that most of the people in Congress, Republicans included, should be in jail for not upholding their sworn oath to uphold the Constitution and supporting the Rule of Law!

Further, I advise that my political contributions go to Conservatives, not gutless jellyfish, and RINOs.

What if we created a conservative PAC that did exactly what you described: supported conservative candidates in primaries and in elections, publicly praised candidates and elected officials for their conservative stances, publicly dissed candidates and elected officials for their liberal stances, pushed the GOP for closed primaries and for changes to the party machinery.

Let me get this straight. An American President, of African origin (and probable citizenship), actually bowed before a Muslim potentate? WTF is that about? I'm certain that protocol doesn't require the United States offering it's collective butt for raping. Does idiot Obama understand the symbolic surrendering he's offered in his "gesture of solidarity"? I knew our State Department was practically useless and traitorous from the Clinton era but this takes the cake.

These people require the example of force because they are under the delusion of their cult. With them there is no middle ground or negotiations. Islamists require "Wack-A-Mole" response - as fast as possible.

I did not leave them- they left me, before the 2006 debacle and they've gotten even stupider since then.

Show me a candidate who will fight for smaller government, fewer taxes, and laws, and regulations, and who understands the importance of the Bill of Rights and a strong military, and I'll give 'em my heart and soul.
