LOL on the tagline...I do love Maggie and her spirit!! My homage to her was like my third choice of signage...but I kept ‘chickening out’ of making one...and now I could kick myself that I didn’t. Long story...

I think P6 will probably post photos of the Pittsburgh rally. He wasn’t feeling well this a.m. (on the Quinn/Rose thread) so I hope he got there ok.

I also recall that Tim Murphy was supposed to be in Washington, but I don’t know whether he’ll show up or not, and if he doesn’t, it might be because the organizers don’t want a lot of politicians there.

I just drove by the Federal Building in Evansville, IN. Probably 100-150 demonstrators, many of them wearing POW/MIA shirts and holding tax protest signs. Two different local TV news crews filming, ABC and Fox. Didn’t have time to take a cell pic, so you’ll have to take my word for it.

I hear you.

Lookit, I wasn’t exactly quiet at this thing. I held up my camera and went around. I told them I was Blogging for FreeRepublic. This made them cheer although I’m not sure they knew what I was talking about.

I was yelling and screaming that “WE CARRY THIS COUNTRY ON OUR BACKS” and in general, well I was noticed.

I didn’t care one bit as this was my time and I would not be shut up. I do have videos of all this. Came the time to sing the National Anthem and God Bless America, believe I was the loudest because, heh, I am a member of the church choir.

I saw alot of my Sussex county republican buddies, even had a long conversation with the head of the sussex county pubbie party as his wife suffered a horric head injury that required brain surgery and my own husband just recovered from a brain infection.

I bunch of TV cameras were shoved in my face. There was a lot of media coverage, at least by local yokel standards, for this event. A bunch of folks took my picture.

We shall see. Frankly, I don’t even want to know if I am on TV but for a time or two, I was the star of the show. I am sure I was targeted by that little old lady.

I have pics and video but for now, I am soaked to the bone, my socks are wet. I am going to nap and listen to Sean.

I leave with one last thought....I hope those suntanned, perfectly coiffed, fingernail polished, friends-across-the-aisle-loving pubbies in congress and our House of Lords are paying attention. They better get a clue.

Because they are part and parcel of the problem. Obama and his crew, yeah, we’re talking to them.

But the pubs, with their hairs that all must sit perfectly in their appointed places, with their cocktail party invitations, with their “friends”....we are SCREAMING at them.

And Newt Gingrich can forget about riding this train with his own presidential aspirations. When the going got tought, Newt partnered up with Nancy Pelosi.

I, for one, will never forget that.

Heading to the Richmond, VA party at 6 p.m.

We had a Tea Party for Sussex County Delaware at the Circle in Georgetown from noon to 2:00 pm.

It was rainy, cold and windy, but about 200 intrepid souls of all ages turned out and we had a great rally.

Traffic around the Circle slowed down to a crawl at times, and lots of folks blew their horns and gave us the thumbs up in support.

I stood next to a Democrat (!) whose sign said “No More Bailouts” and we had a great time talking.

My sign said “ The Real Pirates are in D.C.”.

Delmarva TV station WBOC was there. I got interviewed, so we’ll see if they use the footage.

Considering the really awful conditions, a crowd of 200 was quite a good sized crowd.

Just got back from both Tulsa tea parties. The downtown party, where John Gibson spoke, had several hundred people. The party at Lafortune had well beyond 2000 people. Lots of great signs and, sadly, three disrupters. These folks were from a local 9/11 conspiracy outfit and were laughed at by everyone, including the police that had them corraled about 200 yards from the stage. Tons of media coverage.

I saw that sign about the PIRATES. I thought it was one of the more clever. I was the lady with the sign about Jesus wanting ten percent and Obama wanting half.

If you are worried about getting in a data base for ID later you need to wear sunglasses- the eyes are commonly used for that.
