Just returned from the Ocala, Florida rally. There were several hundred there. They held it at the town square and parking was scarce.

Just returned from Kerrville (small town) Texas Tea Party. At least 1000 people protesting government bloat and bailouts on the courthouse square. Pics to come later.

I had to laugh at a CNN reporter, at one of the TPs, while trying to push her agenda as she questioned TPers. These were informed people and she couldn’t break them. Finally, she had to shut down because of the noise from the TPers around her. She was not a popular person there! LOLOL!

Hi just got back in from the Greensburg, PA Tea Party. I also am not good at estimating crowds, but I would guess it was 500 to 600 (maybe more...we were up against the Courthouse building but NOT on the the grass or the mulch in the retaining wall!!! We obey all laws!!!) (That’s a tiny joke).

Met Sneakers...what a doll, such a nice lady...felt like I ‘knew’ her forever. She was our official photographer. She’ll be posting her pictures later...she has a much, much longer ride home than I did so it will be awhile. By happenstance, Sneakers recognized BadRay and SmokeyB...we met we talked; met some of their friends really, really nice people.

Our crowd was larger than we expected. Greensburg is a tiny little city east of Pittsburgh and it was rainy/drizzlie there too; the Tea Party was held in the Courthouse Square (that is why it was hard to judge the crowd size). Local Pittsburgh TV was there (saw the camera’s and the uplink truck...being ‘up.’) Parking was problematic (its a small, business center in the middle of a work day) so the turn out just warmed my heart that it was so big. Young people, retireees; business people, kids, bikers (P6 we saw a couple of the Dogs you posted about) and FReepers (current and former).

Sneakers took pictures of great signs. Our Greensburg speakers were Rose (of Quinn and Rose!!!) and a wonderful Reverend (he had a great speech; sound system was spotty...we missed his name). Rose was her usual awesome self...heard her talk loud and clear (Sneakers got a great picture of her as well).

My only regrets...not taking my two youngest out of school; and ‘chickening’ out of making a sign. Next time I will. Also...what was I thinking parking on top of a very steep hill? Thankfully I had my inhaler. Met some nice people who huffed and puffed up Main Street with me...we talked (in between gasps for air) as best we could. LOL

Lastly...talking w/Sneakers we both remarked how awesome it was to be doing the same thing, in little Greensburg, PA that was happening with fellow Americans all over the Country.

G-D Bless America!!!

WFTV in Orlando has a video at the link I provided and will be there in Eustis all day. I am sure some people are at work today and could not attend this morning but may show up later in the day. WFTV was the tv station here in Orlando who interviewed Biden about socialism and Biden got upset. LOL!

Willoughby?

Just curious - did you ever see the old Twilight Zone episode about Willoughby? One of my favorites.

I have returned from the DC rally.

It is cold and rainy here and many people were soaked to the skin. Umbrellas everywhere and there were many, many home-made protest signs - some with the colors running down in rivulets (did I mention that it is raining?). Speakers were doing their presentations but not nearly loud enough for all to hear.

A few disruptors were there, including that horrid narrow-faced woman from Code Pink, but she and her compatriot seemed to have quickly left with the cold rain coming down on them. They did not have the brains to bring umbrellas. They had some sort of large-ish pink banner and did get a lot of attention from the media of course.

I was expecting a much, much larger crowd. I think that perhaps there were about a thousand people there. The rain began to come down in buckets at times and that did not help. Mud everywhere, including my nice beige jeans, sigh. None of the attendees seemd to mind, however, and the crowd displayed great cheer and enthusiasm desipte the weather. Some of the signs were hilarious and others were very earnest. Young and old were there.

I tried first to find the Treasury protest site since it was right nearby and was scheduled to start an hour earlier, 11:00, but with the rain, I did not try too hard and never did find any evidence of a protest site. Perhaps those people went over to the Lafayette Square location since the WH apparently shut down the Treasury site.

Some of the crowd wandered over to the street where traffic was allowed with their (most magnificent!) Don’t Tread on Me flags and other signs. It was heart warming to hear all the honks of cars in support - and they were in support because I was watching for the one-fingered salute, but did not spot any.

Hooray for all of us - and with more to come today, all over the good old US of A!

So I unfold and show her and she says “I don’t approve of that sign.”

An alternative response:

[Loudly!]

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA !
Hey! Hey!
HEY! Look everybody! [point directly at her].
This lady doesn't "approve" of my sign![use the finger-quote action]
HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA !

AN IMPORTANT POINT...

Be sure to remind EVERY CAMERA YOU SEE that these are Middle-Class Americans that are finally taking to the streets in large numbers.

The Silent Majority is waking up, and they do not like what they see.

The “small” DC Rally is the one the KOS’rs are laughing at, and as a consequence, it will be the one that gets the most media coverage, showing how “Insignificant” this movement really is.

The hundreds of thousands of Middle-Class Americans that are finally taking to the streets will largely be ignored by the National media.

RWI, I was listening to Rush on the way home, and he had a caller, a woman who called her Senator’s office (the name escapes me now) but she said the Senator’s office staff told her ‘they’ (Gov’t employees) could not attend or participate in the the Tea Parties because they are protests...and Rush said, ‘yeah, by what law?’ and the discussion followed. I have a question, I know Tim Murphy was supposed to be at the Washington County Tea Party...is this ‘true’ they can’t go? Did Rush (if you are listening) discuss it further? Time doesn’t permit me to go over to the Rush thread.

Here’s my story: Stood in a light rain in Sioux City, IA near the Missouri River. I stayed a block away from the Tea Party participants and did my own thing on a very busy street. Held up a sign “Where was obama born???” for two hours until I counted over 2,000 cars had passed by. I stood alone and was nervous for the first few minutes but then a few people started honking for me and giving me the thumbs up sign and then I was loving it. It was hard work because I was enthusiastic and now I am very tired.
Also got quite a few negatives: some people gave me the bird and two people parked their car and came to tell me he was born in Hawaii; they saw it on CNN. But no one jumped the curb to try and murder me anyway....
