Breaking: TVNewser has learned CNN correspondent Susan Roesgen's contract will not be renewed and she will be leaving the network. Roesgen, you'll recall, was criticized for her coverage at the tax day tea parties in April, when she said the event she was covering in Chicago was, "anti-CNN since this is highly promoted by the right-wing, conservative network Fox." Roesgen took a break for a few weeks after that reporting and returned to the air in May covering the Drew Peterson arrest. Most recently, she covered Michael Jackson's death from Los Angeles. Roesgen joined CNN in 2005.

I have spent most of my life trying to cut taxes. Back in 1977, while a staffer for Congressman Jack Kemp, I helped draft the Kemp-Roth tax bill, which was endorsed by Ronald Reagan and enacted into law in 1981. According to the Treasury Department, this is the largest tax cut in American history. So one might assume that I was out protesting taxes along with many of my friends on April 15. But going to rallies is not my thing; I thought my time and skills were better spent analyzing tax burdens to see what evidence justifies the sudden...

The reporter had been pretending that the tea protests were not widely circulated. I guess her propaganda angle was that you must have watch fox or been contacted by fox to know about the protests... Great day, let's keep these protests going...May 30th nationwide!!!

In all my years of watching news coverage in America, I don't believe I have ever witnessed more condescending, amateurish, purely politicized reporting than what just transpired among the liberal MSM covering America's Tax Day Tea Parties. The Tea Parties represented a very significant news event. Whenever close to 300,000 middle-class Americans put their productive lives on hold on a midweek workday, make original signs with their own hands, and travel miles and miles to stand with other private citizens just to demonstrate their anger with government, in more than 300 cities from coast to coast and everywhere in between,...

Depending on where you get your news, you may know a good bit about the tea parties held on April 15th and what they were all about. I doubt there is anyone that didn’t know about them (with the exception of President Obama…I’ll get to that later), but there may be plenty of people who have a horribly distorted view of the parties thanks to the purposeful and irresponsible misrepresentation on the part of the media and liberal commentators.

Let’s use liberal math to calculate attendance at this week’s nationwide Tax Day Tea Party protests. When left-wing activists make crowd estimates, the algorithm is: six figures = one million. An incomplete survey of newspaper accounts and organizer estimates pegged the Tea Party protest population at a minimum of 250,000. We can now, therefore, officially call it the Million Taxpayer March. Or the Million Right-Wing Extremists March if you work for the Department of Homeland Security. To George Soros-funded grievance professionals, 250,000 is an insignificant number. But unlike recent anti-war and pro-illegal immigration rallies padded with union workers, college students...

Washington’s Tea Party was beckoning all week but we had to settle for Westminster. [Mrs] T, Fraxinus and myself, [Mr] T, arrived around 6:10 and a good size crowd of about 100 was already there. A light rain was falling but nothing like in D.C. earlier in the day. [Mrs] T took off to start taking pictures, Fraxinus held his sign, and I started to put together my flag pole. Another Tea Partier came up to me and asked if he could hang his “Don’t Tread On Me” on yellow background flag on my pole. Getting some plastic ties, it...

Below is a VERY long (but far from comprehensive) list of crowd size estimates at today's Tea Party protests across the country. I've tried to take estimates provided by reporters or police officials only, rather than estimates provided by the organizers or attendees themselves, although surely this is an imperfect science. I've also tried to avoid taking any data from explicitly partisan (including left-leaning partisan) news sources. Collectively, these reports account for an attendance of 111,899.... But, the list is far from complete. This covers 126 rallies, whereas the most common figure I've seen is that there were about 750...

It was predictable that The New York Times would take one of two approaches to the nationwide Tax Day Tea Parties on April 15 — ignore them completely or downplay them. It chose the latter. In a story yesterday, it tried to portray the phenomenon as a partisan project, driven by conservative personalities at FOX and CNBC. In reality, it was grassroots groups like American Family Association that had more to do with the largest anti-tax protests in U.S. history. The Times listed a few of the smaller rallies, to make the Tea Parties seem piddling — “200 rain-soaked participants”...

We send out a press release two weeks prior to the Tax Day Tea Party protests to ask citizen journalists to report their stories, take pictures and send in their videos. Many have responded. Citizen journalists understood the liberal media would not cover this historic event. If they (the liberal media) didn't bury it, they mocked it. Some of the mainstream media -- the ones that actually showed up -- were reported to be disrespectful to protesters. The idea of secession gets under the skin of liberals like few other things can. And this is so because secession trumps their power grabs. When someone like Perry says his state has the right to leave the union if the federal government doesn’t uphold their end of the bargain, it’s a stark reminder that “the federal government exists by and for the states, not the other way around.” And Perry has been open to the thought of breaking with the union as a last resort for some time now. Republicans have lost their grip on Congress and the White House, but they claim to have American anger over taxes and the economy on their side as tens of thousands turned out for anti-tax "tea parties" around the country. Wednesday's rallies used the dreaded April 15 — the U.S. deadline to file income taxes — as a hook to vent about government spending and corporate bailouts in an homage to the Boston Tea Party. The Tea Parties held across the nation were a great success despite the tactical mocking of the Democrats and Left-wing Mainstream Media. This Tea Party movement must continue and it is the weapon that must be wielded against the entrenched socialist interests in Washington. We will lose our Constitutional rights as we lose our economic liberties because those liberties originate naturally because of our core Constitutional rights. So, the erosion of economic liberties serves as a dire indicator or the deliberate erosion of the Constitutional foundation of our Republic. Economic liberty gives power to citizens because it grants independence from...

Anchorage fitness instructor Amy Brun doesn't want to see any more trillion-dollar federal bailouts. She doesn't want to pay higher taxes, and she doesn't want what she does pay to bankroll some corporate CEO's bonus. "For the first time in my life, I want to know what they're going to do with my money -- because there's a lot of it going out and not a lot of it coming in," Brun said. So on Wednesday, the 45-year-old went to her first-ever protest as part of a national Tax Day Tea Party in downtown Anchorage. More than 1,200 other tax...
