Breaking: TVNewser has learned CNN correspondent Susan Roesgen's contract will not be renewed and she will be leaving the network. Roesgen, you'll recall, was criticized for her coverage at the tax day tea parties in April, when she said the event she was covering in Chicago was, "anti-CNN since this is highly promoted by the right-wing, conservative network Fox." Roesgen took a break for a few weeks after that reporting and returned to the air in May covering the Drew Peterson arrest. Most recently, she covered Michael Jackson's death from Los Angeles. Roesgen joined CNN in 2005.

I have spent most of my life trying to cut taxes. Back in 1977, while a staffer for Congressman Jack Kemp, I helped draft the Kemp-Roth tax bill, which was endorsed by Ronald Reagan and enacted into law in 1981. According to the Treasury Department, this is the largest tax cut in American history. So one might assume that I was out protesting taxes along with many of my friends on April 15. But going to rallies is not my thing; I thought my time and skills were better spent analyzing tax burdens to see what evidence justifies the sudden...

New footage revealing the defiance of a regular middle class woman against the CNN reporter...she asks the reporter..."are you trying to play stupid?" The reporter had been pretending that the tea protests were not widely circulated. I guess her propaganda angle was that you must have watch fox or been contacted by fox to know about the protests... I was one of the Connecticut State Coordinators who lead and planned our Tax Day Tea Party. One of the topics they want to address is David Axelrod's comment that the tea party's are dangerous.

In all my years of watching news coverage in America, I don't believe I have ever witnessed more condescending, amateurish, purely politicized reporting than what just transpired among the liberal MSM covering America's Tax Day Tea Parties. The Tea Parties represented a very significant news event. Whenever close to 300,000 middle-class Americans put their productive lives on hold on a midweek workday, make original signs with their own hands, and travel miles and miles to stand with other private citizens just to demonstrate their anger with government, in more than 300 cities from coast to coast and everywhere in between,...

Depending on where you get your news, you may know a good bit about the tea parties held on April 15th and what they were all about. I doubt there is anyone that didn’t know about them (with the exception of President Obama…I’ll get to that later), but there may be plenty of people who have a horribly distorted view of the parties thanks to the purposeful and irresponsible misrepresentation on the part of the media and liberal commentators.

I've tried to take estimates provided by reporters or police officials only, rather than estimates provided by the organizers or attendees themselves, although surely this is an imperfect science. It was predictable that The New York Times would take one of two approaches to the nationwide Tax Day Tea Parties on April 15 — ignore them completely or downplay them. It chose the latter. In a story yesterday, it tried to portray the phenomenon as a partisan project, driven by conservative personalities at FOX and CNBC. In reality, it was grassroots groups like American Family Association that had more to do with the largest anti-tax protests in U.S. history. We send out a press release two weeks prior to the Tax Day Tea Party protests to ask citizen journalists to report their stories, take pictures and send in their videos. Many have responded. Citizen journalists understood the liberal media would not cover this historic event. If they (the liberal media) didn't bury it, they mocked it. An estimated 1 million Americans participated in at least 1,000 tea parties, according to reports by organizers tabulating the nationwide numbers, with documented protests held in 50 states. With some amount of physical effort, I dragged this broken old body to the Tulsa Tea Party, one of the three, held downtown from 11AM to 1PM. There was a sizeable turnout, though it was not easy to estimate standing (actually sitting as I am unable to stand too long) at the fringe off to the left side of the stage. The day started off with rain. Fortunately the rain had ended by the time of the Tea Party. Even so, there was an overcast and chilly wind, with temperature of 45 degrees. Despite the unfavorable weather, the Shelby County/Sidney (Ohio) Tea Party was a success. Estimated turnout about 500 people. Not bad for town of 20,000 people. Volunteers at the downtown Houston Tea Party at Jones Plaza collected over 8,500 signatures. Many, many people did not sign due to time constraints or concerns as to privacy. The square block facility was filled to capacity; lines surrounding the plaza kept the sidewalks filled to capacity and the police would only allow people to enter as others exited. What a great turn out - they estimated 5000+. It was SO awesome to be amongst all these wonderful people, standing strong for what we believe. At first it was hard to hear the speakers because a helicopter hovered for the first hour. I don't know if it was a news chopper or police, but it was annoying.
