I’m not sure why she even agree to speak at something like that, but I wish I had half of her tenacity and courage to speak the truth regardless of her surroundings.

Given that she solidly outclasses Maher in virtually every categoty (looks at the top of the list of course)...it’s still worth knowing about.
Maher totally fits into the Obamaloon crowd.

It's a show, and she (like Maher) is an entertainer. Heckling comes with the territory; it's part of her business. She puts up with it because it makes her money.
