I've no idea, it's beyond my imagining that anyone could need the money THAT bad, and how much money are we talking about anyway? She sells a lot of books and doesn't need to take abuse to sell books. She seems too sensible to be a masochist or an attention hog. Too smart to believe she can convert idiots with logic.

Since Maher thinks that he is smarter than everyone else on earth, and fancies himself to be a great liberal pundit, instead of Ann Coulter, perhaps he should debate Dennis Miller. After all Miller isn’t a woman, so it shouldn’t be too distracting for Maher.
You never know who there will be impressed by both her arguments and her civility. The honest liberals will have to recognize truth when they hear it.
That's what I don't understand either. She isn't going to sell a single book to any of the lefties who come to these things. If they refuse to listen to her speak, they certainly are not going to spend $ to buy her book and read what she has to say, so what is the point?
