I do not have a problem with what Holder said. I do have a problem, however, with what is not being publicly talked about: On matters of race, blacks are cowards, too. We may be the worst cowards of all. First, we have perfected the crude art of controlling the terms of race talk. Second, we have developed various ways of avoiding and squashing the truth about our complicity in matters of race that are self-destructive.
Although black attacks against whites are harsh, our attacks against other blacks who tell the truth are downright vicious. I know from personal experience. You are tar-brushed with the stain of Uncle Tomism, and it sticks to you forever.
You are ostracized and given the silent treatment. Your mistake is not that you told the truth but that you told the truth in public, thereby giving the enemy valuable ammunition. (Here, think of comedian Bill Cosby, who is castigated for saying that too many low-income blacks have not held up their end of the nation's civil rights gains.) In short, you committed the unforgivable sin of "airing dirty laundry."
Your achievements and good deeds are never recognized. You simply do not exist, unless you put yourself in people's faces to have your say
I cannot count the times I have participated in or attended events on race that devolved into acrimony and shouting because blacks attacked whites who said "insensitive things," often meaning that the whites expressed their true feelings and thoughts about blacks.
Seeing themselves as victims of racism, most blacks reject raw race talk from whites. After all, whites are viewed as being the perpetrators of racism. The perpetrator, therefore, should confess, shut up and listen. Because of this dynamic, far too many whites have learned to avoid direct matters of race.

This is a general interest list. We cover everything from the sublime to the ridiculous.
If you want on or off this ping list, please FReepmail me.
The “coward” part is that whites are terrified of being called racists for stating the obvious about what is for the lack of a better phrase called black culture. Blacks are terrified to hear it, especially coming from non-blacks.
We've had a very, very long discussion on race in this country for at least 50 years, but it has always been restricted to white racism.

Amazing << Hear this. Feel this, and tell me that this isn't music.
Hey Barack HUSSEIN Obama, I went to Harvard too! That was the worst fieldtrip of my life, but I went there...
Great read....thank you for the post....I particularly enjoyed the last paragraph
“Holder should make a second speech on race, this time specifically taking blacks to task for keeping silent on the abandonment of their personal responsibilities.”
bttt
Holder should make a second speech on race, this time specifically taking blacks to task for keeping silent on the abandonment of their personal responsibilities.
Yeah, and white-coated waiters should carry trays full of frosty fruity umbrella drinks up and down the corridors of Hell, too.
I do. It means that Federal Civil Rights Laws will be enforced FOR blacks and not for whites.
Holder should be forced to resign.
What Holder said constitutes hate speech against white Americans.
For the past couple years (since Maxwell went to teach at the black university and was sorely disappointed) his eyes have seemed to be open and I find myself agreeing more than disagreeing with him. His column last week was very good, also.
A for Effort...not in my class

Blacks think about race constantly rather than the character of individuals.
Blacks vote en masse for black skin and policy that will benefit those with black skin, rather than vote for freedom for those of all races.
Thanks.
After 40 years, why would anyone want to live in a Country that has Laws to protect them from the Majority population? Why should anyone need those Laws? Isn’t it time to say the integration experiment has failed?
But on the plus side, paralysis in the face of accusations of “racism” is good practice for full-scale Dhimmitude. (p.s., don’t think calling yourself “Malik” or “Karim” will help. Darfur is the object lesson in what Arabs think of blacks.)
LOL...love the come back....
Yes, Holder IS racist and his salvo was aimed at WHITES. Pretty bad kind of guy to have at the helm. They all are.
Thanks for the ping, Evening Star.
I don’t see skin colour.
I see people.
Good people, and bad people.
My ancestors have never owned slaves that I know of, and yet these people are impressed that a descendant of slave owners, and sellers, is the President?
Simply because of the pigmentation of his skin.
Voting for the Dems have never even helped them, in any way! Don't they have the brain to see that? /retorical
Oh, my. Excuse me, I'm going to be sick again.
