An Internet security company claims that Iran has taken advantage of a computer security breach to obtain engineering and communications information about Marine One, President Barack Obama's helicopter, according to a report by WPXI, NBC's affiliate in Pittsburgh.

Tiversa, headquartered in Cranberry Township, Pa., reportedly discovered a security breach that led to the transfer of military information to an Iranian IP address, according to WPXI. The information is said to include planned engineering upgrades, avionic schematics, and computer network information.

The channel quoted the company's CEO, Bob Boback, who said Tiversa found a file containing the entire blueprints and avionics package for Marine One.

"What appears to be a defense contractor in Bethesda, Md., had a file-sharing program on one of their systems that also contained highly sensitive blueprints for Marine One," Boback told WPXI.

Iran is not the only country that appears to be accessing this type of information through file-sharing programs, Boback told the station.

“We’ve noticed it out of Pakistan, Yemen, Qatar and China. They are actively searching for information that is disclosed in this fashion because it is a great source of intelligence,” Boback said.

Not to worry, Dear Leader Obama will talk with Ahmadinejad and will persuade him to destroy all info stolen from the US, dismantle their nuclear and missile program and accept Israel. (/sarc)

So, is this why we have to buy a bunch of replacements/upgrades?

New technology wouldn’t help — the stupid, careless and traitorous fools serving the Dalai Bama would leak it as quick as the Rev. Wright can say “honky”....

I bet this wouldn't have happened if that contractor had been a union contractor. /sarcasm

The Chinese are notorious for using the Internet (Cyber War). Anyone can bet they would sell the Intel to the highest bidder.

Get ready folks, this is only the beginning with the Cyber War activities. Our nation is absolutely dependent on computers for everything and the enemy knows this ...

To everyone that gripes about their mean, nasty employers not letting them use work computers for personal business, this is what can happen.

Whoever installed that file sharing program should be fired.

If the compromised information was classified (rather than merely “sensitive”), whoever put those files on a computer with Internet connections has violated DOD security guidelines, and should also be fired and considered for prosecution.

Oh for crying out loud. This is a problem? Go to Toys-R-Us, get the “marine 1” helcopter model from Mattel. The one that says, “made in China”.

Same darn thing.
