President Obama has been in office less than a month, but that hasn't stopped many West Michigan firearms dealers from referring to him as "gun salesman of the the year."

The media wants us to believe the rush to buy guns is from fear of stricter gun control. If that was so, knowing people tend to procrastinate, I don’t think there would be a rush until a bill was introduced. I think more people are afraid of the direction this country is headed are preparing to defend themselves. And the rush shows confidence is not very high.

My wife, who has never had much interest in firearms, asked me if we should buy some more. There are three weapons I'd like to have, but have never had any need for. A 30.30 saddle gun, a 4" .357 revolver and a pump 12 gauge. Except for the 12 gauge, I have other weapons that fulfill the same functions. It surprised me, though, that she would mention it.

I don't hunt, so the only reason I have them is for either self defense or target practice.

I had that reaction just a few minutes ago. Fox has promo about The One's first press conference since occupying the oval office. They said "President Obama" and I said "urp" and swallowed hard.

Well, I’ve given my husband permission to purchase whatever firearms he wants and together we made a list of our needs. Today he’s taking the state CCW class, with my blessing. I think he is grateful to God every day that Obama was elected and he now gets to live out his gun fantasies. LOL
