Everyone remember, the quorum vote is not the final vote, it is a vote to move the bill to a vote. Even if the quorum passes, it may still have a chance of being killed.

I wish that was true, but it's unlikely. It takes 50% to pass a bill. It takes 60% to end debate. If the Dark Side wins the vote to end debate, they win the vote to end captialism.

Its a procedure in congress, There has to be agreement to bring something to a yes or no vote, That is called the Quorum. It dates back to the Roman Senate I believe.

When, or if, it goes through it still has to back to reconciliation and back to both houses for another vote. I figure if it makes it through all that then it’s just part of the bigger plan. We are going to have to suffer through some pretty tough times in order to show the people fell for the MSM spin and lies that he’s not The One.
Also, if it goes through then we’ve done the best we can for now and it’s time to sit back and watch what happens.
We are going to drive ourselves batty if we start this early in the game getting totally worked up over every success the liberals manage to pull off or out of the fire. Its passage could be a gift from God in that it will place the onus squarely and totally on ‘them’ and we can set about planning for 2010 and 2012.
OTOH, if we manage to shoot it down we will have used a tremendous amount of energy and it’s only a matter of time before they regroup and come at us again.

I usually try to maintain a higher level of decorum, but that is not the brightest thing I have heard the last couple of days. Why do you think the Dems targeted McConnell so hard in the last election? Because, the man understands the nuance of parliamentary procedure. I am surprised we may only have 3 defections in the Senate. Don't start indiscriminately lobbing of heads, because we are going to need every good guy we have over the next 4 years.
