When Obama wrote a book and said he was mentored as a youth by Frank, (Frank Marshall Davis) an avowed Communist, people said it didn't matter. When it was discovered that his grandparents, were strong Socialists, people said it didn't matter. When he admittedly, in his book, said he chose Marxist friends and professors in college, people said it didn't matter. When he sought the endorsement of the Marxist Party in 1996 as he ran for the Illinois Senate, people said it doesn't matter. When he finally completed his transformation of America into a Socialist State, people finally woke up,...

Two viruses caused the murders, wounds, and suffering at Fort Hood. The first arises from the fact that although a capacity for evil is inherent in human nature, human beings have, as David Brooks recently observed, a “conscious say” regarding the commission of evil acts. Therefore, the actual cause of the Fort Hood attack is the conscious choice by terrorist Nidal Malik Hasan to commit an act of horrific evil. There is, however, a second virus that is a proximate cause of the murders, one that — irony of ironies that cry out to Heaven for redress — allowed a...

It started out as a mild virus initiated by the left of center intellectuals of academia. But, like every virus from computer carried to influenza, it spread rapidly through schools, hospitals, civil service, the media, companies, governance and the armed forces. Political correctness has poisoned all of America. The famed author of children’s books, Anthony Browne has also written a telling examination of political correctness in The Retreat of Reason. Says Browne, “Political correctness is the ‘heresy of liberalism’ under which reliance on reason has been replaced on the emotional appeal of an argument. Adopting certain positions makes the politically...

The Barack Obama administration is actively pursuing "when and how it might be possible" to endorse the UN Rights of the Child treaty previously ratified by every member nation except the U.S. and Somalia. The pact, which has been used to bolster child protection laws in several nations during the past two decades, states children have the right to health care, education and protection from abuse.

Last week President Obama appointed yet another “czar” with massive government power, answering only to him. Even before this latest appointment, the top-ranking Democrat in the Senate wrote President Obama a letter saying that these czars are unconstitutional. President Obama’s “czar strategy” is an unprecedented power grab centralizing authority in the White House, outside congressional oversight and in violation of the Constitution. As of last week, Czar Kenneth Feinberg has the authority to set the pay scale for executives at any company receiving government money (and how many aren’t, these days?). Czar Feinberg has the power to say that someone’s...

For almost two and a half centuries, countless Americans have voluntarily served and died to uphold and defend the principles of the US Constitution. Throughout history; from the battles over the original 13 Colonies, to the beaches of Normandy, to the sands of Iraq and Afghanistan; millions of Americans have risked life and limb to ensure the continued survival of America. It is because of their continued sacrifice that our constitutional republic is the envy of the entire world, notwithstanding liberal Baby-Boomers, who, along with terrorists and rogue dictatorships, have grown up to hate it. The three main tenets of...

Remember Washington Irving’s classic in which the title character unwittingly nods off for 20 years? He sleeps through the American Revolution and wakes befuddled by the radical changes that have taken place in America. Today, thanks to President Obama’s first 100 days in office, I feel like Rip Van Winkle. In Irving’s story, Rip falls into a liquor-induced coma after encountering a gang of reveling little urchins one day on a mountain. Like poor old Rip, I feel as if I am dealing with an awfully bad hangover myself these days. For the past four months, the president has been...

About a week ago, I wrote a column that included a long laundry list of what Big Brother Obama is affecting to destroy the USA’s Republic and why he and the Left must do so. Note: The underlying reason was and is to seize and retain—at all costs to humans living within the USA—power over We-the-People. It seems almost impossible to keep up with the presidential usurper Obama’s actions but, I’ll continue to attempt to do so for as long as is possible. Note: On Thursday’s Rush Limbaugh show, Rush said referencing Obama’s many unconstitutional actions “He can’t do that.”...

Cass Sunstein sees Web as anti-democratic, proposed 24-hour delay on sending e-mail WASHINGTON – Barack Obama's nominee for "regulatory czar" has advocated a "Fairness Doctrine" for the Internet that would require opposing opinions be linked and also has suggested angry e-mails should be prevented from being sent by technology that would require a 24-hour cooling off period. The revelations about Cass Sunstein, Obama's friend from the University of Chicago Law School and nominee to head the White House Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs, come in a new book by Brad O'Leary, "Shut Up, America! The End of Free Speech."...

...Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano, in concert with Barack Obama, is laying the groundwork for a far grander and more sinister plan [than Clinton's], which if suggested only a few years ago would have been instantly consigned to the realm of paranoid conspiracies. Such transparent deflection notwithstanding, the evidence is far too extensive to allow for deniability. This is the meanacing reality of the Obama White House.

I have often thought the term 'facist' is used a little too freely, more often than not by liberals and leftists who have called me a fascist on many occaisions. I have even seen BHO referred to as a fascist by conservatives, some here on this website. I think fascism is all too often confused with socialism. Although they have much in common, fascism and socialism are not twins, but they are cousins. Both ideologies originated in Europe and both ideologies advocate a strong, powerful central government which controls the economy and many other facets of the state as well....

It looks like Alan Keyes was RIGHT on the money in that widely circulated video when he referred to our Hussein as a "radical Communist". It is to the point where I don't think Obama is even trying to hide the fact. If you have not seen that Keyes video, I have it featured at OurHussein.com (Link above) Also, if you haven't seen Dr. Keyes' Tea Party speech in Pittsburgh, PA - it is also featured there. This in my opinion is the greatest piece of oratory of the 21st Century (thus far orated). A MUST SEE. God bless.

Soros told Steve Kroft of 60 Minutes that he developed his character as Nazi collaborator in Hungry. He took that learning and became convicted Insider trader, a guy who made 10 billion dollar off the British people through currency speculation, terrorist supporter and Israel hater. After the last election George Soros, met with a group of Mega-rich liberals to ensure that they get to control the country after the 2008 Elections. What they ended up doing is giving $100 Million dollars to key liberal organizations in major battle ground states(see Obama's Liberal Shock Troops ). Here's the scary part--it worked....

I thought it an entirely good thing for the nation to catch glimpses of President Obama pulling weeds in the White House Vegetable Garden — until I realized such images might cause some folks to place him in the tradition of nineteenth century American radicals, the deep-dreaming agrarians who were devotees of what Marx called “utopian socialism.” So, in the interest of telling the truth about the profound distance between the place where the often gentle, too frequently ridiculous, always thoroughly human utopians fall on the political scale and the one occupied by Barack Obama, a little history is in...

WASHINGTON (CNN) – Senior White House adviser David Axelrod on Sunday suggested the "Tea Party" movement is an "unhealthy" reaction to the tough economic climate facing the country. Axelrod was asked on CBS's "Face the Nation" about the "spreading and very public disaffection" with the president's fiscal policies seen at the "Tea Party" rallies around the country last week. "I think any time you have severe economic conditions there is always an element of disaffection that can mutate into something that's unhealthy," Axelrod said. Axelrod appeared to backtrack when pressed on whether the movement is unhealthy. "Well, this is a...

Obama is slowly rewriting America’s dialogue with other countries, while at the same time calling those that are pro-life, against illegal immigration, military veterans or gun owners rightwing extremists. But you have to applaud Obama for transparency. He’s even extending transparency to the terrorist by releasing Bush-era memos about CIA interrogation techniques. A former top official in the administration of President George W. Bush called the publication of the memos “unbelievable.” “It’s damaging because these are techniques that work, and by Obama’s action today, we are telling the terrorists what they are,” the official said. “We have laid it all...

While the nation is awakening to the big spenders in Washington with over 2000 Tea Party protests across the nation, liberal "progressive" media is mounting its own anti-tea party movement online and on cable news. Appearing of Fox, ThinkProgress' Faiz Shakir accused the network of promoting what they called the "anti-Obama tea parties.” Shakir said, "These tea parties are a sham. The reason they're a sham is because they're directed by lobbyists here in D.C. ... And on top of that, you've got this network, Fox News, which is advocacy -- pushing this, promoting this with all of its heart....

Legion to DHS: Americans are not the enemy! By Marine64 Created Apr 14 2009 - 1:05pm American Legion National Commander David K. Rehbein sent Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano a letter of protest concerning a recent report by the Department of Homeland Security which suggested veterans were more likely to commit terrorist acts than nonveterans. The letter is below. Secretary Janet Napolitano Department of Homeland Security U.S. Department of Homeland Security Washington, DC 20528 April 13, 2009 Dear Secretary Napolitano, On behalf of the 2.6 million-member American Legion, I am stating my concern about your April 7 report, "Rightwing Extremism:...

Barack Hussein's new Homeland Security Director says that Americans should be afraid that our returning combat veterans will be recruited by right-wing groups and use the 2nd Amendment rights they fought to protect to attack against the country. I never thought I would hear such a profound level of mistrust and hostility directed at our greatest and noblest citizens. But that's how this administration rolls. Of course, Obama already has always thought dimly about those Americans (in the below case Pennsylvanians) who refused to support him: "And it's not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion...

Yesterday, Roger Hedgecock and the Liberty Papers posted an unclassified DHS Office of Intelligence and Analysis report titled:Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment. The “report” was one of the most embarrassingly shoddy pieces of propaganda I’d ever read out of DHS. I couldn’t believe it was real.I spent the day chasing down DHS spokespeople, who have been tied up preparing for a very important homeland security event later today: The First Lady is coming to visit their Washington office. Priorities, you know.Well, the press office got back to me and verified that the document...

From the document, - What is Democratic Socialism? – “We are not a separate party. Like our friends and allies in the feminist, labor, civil rights, religious, and community organizing movements, many of us have been active in the Democratic Party. We work with those movements to strengthen the party’s left wing, represented by the Congressional Progressive Caucus. The process and structure of American elections seriously hurts third party efforts. Winner-take-all elections instead of proportional representation, rigorous party qualification requirements that vary from state to state, a presidential instead of a parliamentary system, and the two-party monopoly on political power...

More and more, we are seeing our country moved not just toward European socialism, but toward fascism (which, of course, is also European). As this longtime trend now dramatically picks up speed, we should first realize a couple of critical points: First of all, socialism, communism and fascism are kissing cousins, intimately related to one another. "U.S.S.R." was an acronym for "Union of Soviet Socialist Republics." "N.A.Z.I." was an acronym for "National Socialist German Workers' Party." Second, both communism and fascism are products of the left. Ask yourself this: if we had a "National Socialist American Workers' Party," does it...

It was nearly two weeks ago that the House of Representatives, acting in a near-frenzy after the disclosure of bonuses paid to executives of AIG, passed a bill that would impose a 90 percent retroactive tax on those bonuses. Despite the overwhelming 328-93 vote, support for the measure began to collapse almost immediately. Within days, the Obama White House backed away from it, as did the Senate Democratic leadership. The bill stalled, and the populist storm that spawned it seemed to pass. But now, in a little-noticed move, the House Financial Services Committee, led by chairman Barney Frank, has approved...

I came across a video that left me shaking with fear and outrage: If this footage doesn't disturb you to your very core, I don't even know what to say. We have here a militarized group of young men being steeped in not only political ideology, but in literal cult worship of Barack Obama. This was going on before the election. I still remember the video featuring a glassy-eyed girl singing, “We’re gonna spread happiness! We’re gonna spread freeeeedom! Obama’s gonna change it, Obama’s gonna lead ‘em…” The cult mindset continued into his inauguration, with a creepy "Kids' Inaugural." That...

Interestingly enough an important amendment brought to the floor today was not in the H.R. 1388 when it passed the Senate today. The first presented by Sen Vitter (LA) wanted to insure that no money be made available to ACORN and its affiliates, on the grounds that it is a organization with possibly suspect behaviour and that including it in the bill would not be able to politicize charitable giving and activities. Saying that the bill doesn’t allow politicized does not necessarily protect the country from ACORN’s “so-called” charitable activities. ACORN has already received considerable funding from the government, for...

It is another sound good piece of legislation. H.R. 1388 has a creative title; The Generations Invigorating Volunteerism and Education (GIVE) Act. 321 representatives of the people voted approval for this legislation which, among many other things, strikes a blow to the rights of people to mount any protests against legislation. Listen closely, it outlaws the right to mount protests against proposed legislation.

The anger in the threats against AIG executives is palpable. "Get the bonus, we will get your children," someone identified only as "Jacob the Killer" hauntingly writes in an e-mail. His is one of dozens of threats against AIG and its employees that were obtained from Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal's office under a Freedom of Information Act request by NBC Connecticut. Surprisingly, some of those making the threats left their e-mail addresses and phone numbers - making the job of law enforcement officers easier. Here are some of the highlights (or rather, low-lights). We've cleaned up some of the...

With all the focus and attention on the TARP, the so-called “stimulus” bill, the nationalization of huge chunks of our economy and the various issues economic – lost in the weeds have been a host of destructive “programs” being developed and passed by the Obama-Democrat machine. Right now on the floor of the United States Senate is one of the most disturbing pieces of legislation I have seen in a long time. HR 1388, the “Serve America Act” is cloaked in feel-good rhetoric and supposedly noble goals, but it is nothing more than another Washington power-grab – this time targeted...

My parents taught me to read every word of any contract I signed. Obviously Congress doesn't follow that rule. Already we have Congress' frantic backlash from the AIG bonuses, which were in fact authorized by specific language buried deep in the stimulus bill that gave AIG its handout. Now we have more dynamite buried in the GIVE Act (H.R. 1388), already passed in a whirlwind by the House and being fast-tracked in the Senate. The GIVE Act reauthorizes the National and Community Service Act of 1990 and the Domestic Volunteer Service Act of 1973, and also includes many more new...

The Senate Finance Committee’s top two members — Democrat Max Baucus and Republican Charles E. Grassley — teamed up today to introduce legislation that would provide money to help small and medium-sized charities get training and management assistance. The legislation, introduced as an amendment to a national-service bill now being debated by the Senate, would provide $25-million over five years to a “Nonprofit Capacity Building Program” within the Corporation for National and Community Service. The amendment would “strengthen small charities around our country, especially where resources are scarce,” Senator Baucus of Montana, who chairs the finance committee, told his colleagues...

Maybe it's just me, but I find federal legislation titled "The GIVE Act" and "The SERVE Act" downright creepy. Even more troubling: the $6 billion price tag on these bipartisan bills to expand government-funded national service efforts. Volunteerism is a wonderful thing, which is why millions of Americans do it every day without a cent of taxpayer money. But the volunteerism packages on the Hill are less about promoting effective charity than about creating make-work, permanent bureaucracies and left-wing slush funds. The House passed the "Generations Invigorating Volunteerism and Education Act" -- or the GIVE Act -- last week. The...

CHICAGO Newspapers perform a public service for democracy and should be allowed to operate as tax-exempt non-profits, U.S. Sen. Benjamin Cardin, D.-Md., proposed Tuesday. Cardin introduced a bill that would explicitly include newspapers among organizations eligible for 501(c)(3) status. The non-profit status is the same that public radio and television have now. The legislation would give a national green light for newspapers to adopt the so-called Low Profit Limited Liability Company business model, often shortened to L3C. The L3C model, which the Newspaper Guild supports as an alternative newspaper ownership model, is the subject of a feature story in the...

Following overwhelming House passage last week, the Senate tonight voted 74 to 14 on a procedural move that essentially guarantees a major expansion of a national service corps, a cornerstone of volunteerism that dates back to the era of President Kennedy. It’s akin to a call to arms by President Obama, who has harkened back to those early days to demand giving back by those who voted for him. In fact, Senator Edward M. Kennedy, the senior Democrat from Massachusetts whose battle with brain cancer has oft kept him absent from the Senate these days, appeared on the floor to...

HOT off the press! The Congressional Budget Office just released the cost estimates for S. 277 Serve America Act.(Senate’s version of HR 1388, Give Act) CBO estimates S 277 would cost over $6.1 billion dollars over the 2010-2014 period. Programs funded under National Community Service Act of 1990 (NCSA) and the Domestic Volunteer Service Act of 1973 (DVSA) received appropriations of $1.1 billion for fiscal year 2009, including $200 million in funding from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009...otherwise known as the PORKULUS/SPENDULUS Bill that passed that NO ONE in Congress read. March 20, 2009 The Banality of Obama By Bruce Walker Pundits have been critiquing the new administration for its socialism, for its willful ignorance of foreign policy, for its puerile missteps, but the salient fact of the Obama Presidency is its banality. He who promised change has dredged up the failed nostrums of the past as if they were something new and fresh. In fact, the ordinariness, the dullness, the lifelessness of the Obama Administration is obvious. What is the answer to a collapsing economy? Obama simply resorts to the seventy-five year old policies of FDR. When the New Deal...

In retrospect, we may discover that 1883 was a most significant year. We're familiar with 1848 giving us The Communist Manifesto and 1859 giving us The Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection or the Preservation of Favoured Races in the Struggle for Life, but 1883 gave us three portentous happenings. These seemingly unrelated happenings turned history toward socialism. 1. Karl Marx died on March 14, 1883, and was buried in Highgate Cemetery in London, England. The assumption that Communism died with him was logical since only six people attended his funeral. But the truth is that it had...

They have taken a pledge of loyalty to Obama, and they say they are coming your way tomorrow for yours. President Obama told Californians during a campaign-style town hall meeting on Wednesday that rich people can afford to pay higher taxes in selling his budget plan as an investment in the nation's future. Mr. Obama pushed back on people who say he is overtaxing the nation, saying his tax increases on families earning $250,000 or more a year are reverting to the tax system under former President Bill Clinton. The president added he will pay higher taxes himself as a result. "These folks can afford it. They were rich back in the '90s," he said. "It's not like suddenly they're...

A sitting President of the United States is "organizing a political organization loyal to him, bound by a pledge, outside the government and existing party apparatus. The historical precedents are ominous." What is so ominous about an organization? Americans, Alexis de Tocqueville famously observed, "constantly form associations.... If it is proposed to inculcate some truth or to foster some feeling by the encouragement of a great example, they form a society." Certainly, thousands of organizations seek to influence the political debate. There's Newt Gingrich's American Solutions or the left-wing People for the American Way, for instance. Political parties are another...

I am a student of history. Professionally. I have written 15 books in six languages, and have studied it all my life. I think there is something monumentally large afoot, and I do not believe it is just a banking crisis, or a mortgage crisis, or a credit crisis. Yes, these exist but they are merely single facets on a very large gemstone that is only now coming into a sharper focus. Something of historic proportions is happening. I can sense it because I know how it feels, smells, what it looks like, and how people react to it. Yes,...
