Pakistan's Gun Manufacturing Industry - AWESOME INFO! [AK-47s dirt cheap]
VBS-TV ^ | 1/23/08 | Suroosh Alvi

Gun manufacturing in the Pakistan boondocks.

In the clip below you'll see an amazing 'industry' in Pakistan turning out 1000 weapons a day and have done so for seventy years. That is over 25 million firearms...and we think they can be subdued...maybe after killing them all.

Mr. Obama has a tall job in front of him, espescially if he believes that he can overcome Islam and their arms to achieve their end...

Have a look...

Definitely a cool video, however, IMO, this guy is mistaken. Despite the fact that these guys live in caves, build Kalashnikovs using handtools and primitive equipment, one five-ton cluster bomb would wipe out the whole area, including "the largest arms market in the world."

Ditto..dropping a MOAB on their gun factories would quickly put an end to their ability to make them.

My first thought was that we might need them to step up output if things go the way that Holder wants them to here at home.

Indeed, but there’s also the issue of how many they’ve produced...

It makes sense to me to “squrrel” away several armories-worth of weapons here and there; both for the “what ifs” of having a supply for any sudden surge of demand, or in case things get ugly.

Now why should he do that being a Muslim, himself?

Read Kipling’s THE MAN WHO WOULD BE KING. The arms and ammo used by our heros was hand made there.

Overcome Islam? Why would he want to overcome his own religion and that of his forefathers?

I seriously doubt that they produce a thousand guns a day using the technology shown in the video. Also, while the guns they produce may function fine, they probably do not have interchangeable parts due to the handmade nature.

Those weapons leave Keiber pass going both ways. As far as I’m concerned they are selling to the Taliban and Al Qaida and that entire city should be considered a willing sponsor that has benefited from terrorism. The P’sOS they make are mostly good on soft targets only, that source should be dried up for those who would use it.

They don’t sell jerky at their gun show like we have in Texas. Oh man, I do like those Lugers.

Been that way for decades up there, maybe centuries.

I admire their pluckiness, but quality control there is non-existant; it is no surprise that they specialize in AK variants, because their tolerances are very large, and hand manufacture is more or less a practical matter.

With some slaves, a furnace, and some hand-tools you can get by in a pinch —in short, it is a start-up environment for weapon makers.

Did you see even one sniper rifle or M-16 variant? No, because clearances are quite low, and precision is called for.

I agree. I think they are importing or recycling barrels and importing primers for ammo.

Here's a scary thought. How would you like an AK, with proper Norinco markings, that was made from a shot out, chopped down old SMLE barrel?

A few years back there was a documentary about the Pakistani gun industry on one of the shows like 20/20 or 60 Minutes.

Ii was longer and more detaled than this video but as I recall the message was the same.

They forge the steel, broach the barrels, machine receivers and other parts with hand tools in shops not much more sophisticated than a blacksmith would have.

What they accomplish is amazing.

The video demonstrates that the gun-grabbers are dreaming if they think they can disarm the gangs via laws.

If a Pakistani can make an AK using Third World gear, think about what an unemployed Master Machinist can do in his basement for the right price. And it's easier to make a full-auto than a semi-auto.

THIS is the sort of info that we need to spread far and wide in the US. Those who would try to interfere with our RKBA by using legislative bodies and courts to throw up obstacles to legal manufacture and distribution of firearms, need to understand very clearly that if they succeed in those endeavors, a new supply chain will pop up quickly, providing a massive and utterly unregulatable flow of all sorts of firearms.

Those are to easy!

I was thinking of something like this.

The Government even puts out a little book on how to set it up and use it. See FM 23-91 and FM 23-91A

With one of those mounted in the back of the old Pick Up Truck, ice fishing would be a lot easier.

. . . while the guns they produce may function fine, they probably do not have interchangeable parts due to the handmade nature.

It might have been in the American Rifleman, but YEARS ago I read a article on these guys. It told of the Afghans retrieving fired .303 bullets, filing the rifling marks off and reloading them in cases filled with chopped up movie film they raided from some Brit outpost. The writer said the guns weren't that accurate or powerful but they had a spectacular muzzle flash because of the film. He also reported that they got the steel for the rifles from railroad tracks they tore up in their raids. They used some of it to make exact copies of the old .577/.450 Martini-Henry (Khyber Pass Martinis), right down to Victoria's shield on the receiver.

*** think about what an unemployed Master Machinist can do in his basement for the right price. And it’s easier to make a full-auto than a semi-auto. ***

Way back in 1968, in the month when Bobby Kennedy was shot, the ATF raided a shop in Southern California that was turning out hundreds of full auto sub machine guns for Central America.
There were found ties from that company to L B Johnson’s White House, so the case was covered up.

Think Sten!

Or Grease Gun or PePeSha.

Barrels on the Stens or M3s would tend to be short because all one would have to work with would be repurposed handgun barrels. The advantage of the PPSh would be that any 30 cal. barrel could be cut down to the desired length and re-chambered to work with 7.62x25 ammo. They could make a longer barreled, more effective weapon.

Of course, we are law abiding folk and nobody here would never want to do something like this.

And if all firearms are illegal anyway, there’s no reason to own/make a single shot .22.

The weapons are going to be of the deadliest type attainable - full auto, select fire, and black, scary configurations!

Right.
Many ignorant libs seem to honestly believe that if firearms here are strictly controlled (military and police only) gun violence will disappear. Make manufacturing illegal. They seem to ignore illegal drugs - Cocaine and heroin importers have little problem. We have a huge domestic marijuana industry. People are even making pills in their kitchens.
