Been that way for decades up there, maybe centuries.

I admire their pluckiness, but quality control there is non-existant; it is no surprise that they specialize in AK variants, because their tolerances are very large, and hand manufacture is more or less a practical matter.

With some slaves, a furnace, and some hand-tools you can get by in a pinch —in short, it is a start-up environment for weapon makers.

Did you see even one sniper rifle or M-16 variant? No, because clearances are quite low, and precision is called for.

I agree. I think they are importing or recycling barrels and importing primers for ammo.

Here's a scary thought. How would you like an AK, with proper Norinco markings, that was made from a shot out, chopped down old SMLE barrel?
