WSFA 12 News has a look at the results of one well-known Alabama political poll in the Presidential race. It appears undecided voters are making up their minds and they're choosing Republican John McCain. According to the Capital Survey Research Center poll of likely voters, McCain has a commanding 20 point lead over Barack Obama, 55% to 35%.
When you look back at the last four polls, Obama has stayed virtually flat from 34 to 36%. While McCain started strong in June, dipped in July and August and regained his lead in September.
Voters who favored neither candidate dropped significantly in the last three months.
An interesting sidebar to the presidential poll, the majority of voters said naming Joe Biden and Sarah Palin as vice presidential running mates made no difference in their choice for president.
Good thing we got the “purple swing state” of Alabama locked up.
Did Barry ever think he had a chance down here in the South?
Alabama will do its part to keep Hussein as far as possible from the White House!
<---with apologies to any Auburn fans
I wonder how many “field offices” Obama opened in Alabama for his “50 state strategy”?
Alabama is 27% - 28% African American. It doesn’t appear that Obama is getting many white votes in Alabama if he’s only getting 35% - 36% of the vote. Hopefully that turns out to be the case in a lot of other states like PA, OH, WV, and VA.
There is a House seat in Birmingham that is in doubt, it would be great if McCain/Palin could put that into our column, we need every seat we can find this time around.
>>I wonder how many field offices Obama opened in Alabama for his 50 state strategy?<<
50 states?! Obama said 57..
I know Obama is shocked by these results. /sarc
Alabama is 27% black....if like most blacks they are voting 95-97% for Obama then roughly 25% of Alabama electorate is a lock for Barry.
So at least 70% of whites must be voting for Mccain just for a majority
and if Mac is ahead 22 points then it looks like it’s way higher than that
in my homestate next door the peckerwood vote for Mac (descended from there from some bigtime names)will be even higher
make of it what you wish but Deep South whites know exactly what Barry represents, we have been dealing with this since LBJ and all those neat programs
How does it look in neighboring Mississippi?
When was the last time a candidate won the presidential election without winning the south?
He put on apperances here in NC trying to show that he was going to fight for votes in the state and turn it blue for the first time since 1976.
Poll came out yesterday. He is down by 20% in NC.
What? 20%?
How accurate is it? I don't know. But the chance of Obama taking NC is zero.
Somehow I think you'll find most Auburn fans feel the same way about keeping him out. I'm an Alabama grad but have a lot of friends who are Auburn grads that feel that way.
Hussein and his bitter, angry, anti-American wife (and his racist ex-pastor/close friend/mentor, and his TERRORIST friend with his terrorist wife,,,,
need to be kept AS FAR AS POSSIBLE FROM THE WHITE HOUSE!!
The Black mayor of Birmingham, Langford...said to an assembled Black crowd “Y’all better go make friends with some Republicans, because you just never know how an election will turn out.”
