Suspect pleads not guilty to killing dad, sons
SF Chronicle ^ | July 24, 2008 | Jaxon Van Derbeken

An alleged gang member accused of triple murder in the slayings of a San Francisco father and two sons pleaded not guilty Wednesday at a hearing in which the judge refused to issue a blanket gag order in the high-profile case.

Edwin Ramos, 21, is accused of the June 22 shooting deaths of Tony Bologna, 48, and his sons Michael, 20, and Matthew, 16, ....... Ramos spoke softly and slowly in denying each of the allegations.

The defense sought the gag order after The Chronicle revealed that Ramos was an illegal immigrant who was found to have committed two felonies at age 17 - a gang-related assault of a Muni passenger and the attempted robbery of a pregnant woman - but was not surrendered by San Francisco juvenile justice authorities to federal officials for possible deportation.

The report has triggered outrage on local and national talk shows, and Danielle Bologna said city officials "need to take responsibility" for actions that she says led to the killings of her husband and sons.

Ramos' attorney, Robert Amparan, told the court Wednesday the case was fast "becoming national media fodder" and said he was concerned about an atmosphere of "vigilantism."

He said his office has received threatening calls and that he was concerned about comments posted by readers on The Chronicle's Web site, SFGate.

According to Tim Counts, spokesman for ICE, the only communication his agency received about Ramos came by way of the electronic request at 3:44 a.m. April 2, nearly two hours after Ramos was released. He said there is no record that ICE received any fax from the Sheriff's Department.

Sheriff's deputies queried the agency by phone April 1 about the man arrested with Ramos, Erick Lopez, and an immigration hold was placed on him, Counts said.

“.....he was concerned about an atmosphere of “vigilantism.” “

Too bad.

I remain concerned that our justice system cannot render a swift, just verdict.

There is absolutely no reason that this scum cannot be tried, convicted and executed within 6 months from the date of the murders.

San Francisco's formal political structure and government simply cannot be trusted to act in a normal way. Their zoo wasn't built to keep in the big cats. They don't turn illegal alien criminals over to ICE.

Now they want to legalize prostitution but with no public health provisions.

The place should be crossed off anyone's vacation or business calendar. It's simply not safe to go there.

ICE wants access to SF jails
http://www.insidebayarea.com/oaklandtribune/ci_9977704

The head of Immigration and Customs Enforcement on Wednesday called on Mayor Gavin Newsom to allow the federal agency full access to information about local inmates, saying the city should rescind its policy that prohibits ICE agents from reviewing jail logs and records.

A letter sent to Newsom from ICE director Julie Myers urging more access to inmate records was the latest flare-up following accusations that a San Francisco policy to shield undocumented immigrants also caused the city to shelter felons charged with serious crimes.

Eileen Hirst, chief of staff for San Francisco County Sheriff Michael Hennessey, said ICE agents cannot stroll through San Francisco jails to look at booking cards or “eyeball” inmates because the city’s longstanding sanctuary law won’t allow it.

“This is not the first time they have made this request,” Hirst said of the letter. “It’s not the first time the sheriff has said, ‘Please identify the statute,’ and they have been unable to do so.”

Hirst pointed out that her department has handed over 1,100 people to ICE in the past 18 months. But ICE agents cannot get the direct access they want because San Francisco agencies do not cooperate with ICE investigations and detention unless federal law dictates that they must.

The ongoing tiff emphasizes the uniqueness of San Francisco’s detention policies compared to those in neighboring Bay Area jurisdictions, where ICE agents pay
regular visits to county jails.

City officials and ICE also blame each other for allowing the release from custody earlier this year of illegal immigrant and convicted felon Edwin Ramos of El Sobrante, who is now accused of killing three people in June.

“Ramos spoke softly and slowly in denying each of the allegations...”

Let me fix this:
“Ramos spoke softly and slowly” through his interpreter “in denying each of the allegations”

My heart goes out to this woman. My God, what pain she must feel.

I often wonder how libs like Newsom can sleep at night. Then again, if you have no soul, you feel no shame.

Vigilantism needs to be directed at San Fran government. In Mexico, criminals direct vigilantism at the government to keep it from working against criminals. In San Francisco, citizens need to direct vigilantism at the government to get it to work against criminals.

"Ramos' attorney, Robert Amparan, told the court Wednesday the case was fast "becoming national media fodder" and said he was concerned about an atmosphere of "vigilantism.""

Read its immoral to be outraged that the government of SF was complicit in the murder of three of its own citizens.

If Ramos is found guilty this b*stard shyster Amparan ought to share a cell with him, where they can together lament the unfairness of American society between bouts of passionate intimacy.

Did you hear her speak? Heartbreaking! But we’re supposed to be impressed with aliens whining about being deported.

The title is weird. Makes it sound like he shot his dad and his sons, which would’ve made the shooter like...one when he sired them. So, he shot his father and his brothers? Or a different man and the man’s sons?

Here're another couple of names for the Bologna family Christmas card list.

Nice going, ***holes.

I agree.

Unfortunately this is one of many such tragic stories - preventable if only the illegal aliens had been deported.

I believe there are occasions where a return to vigilantism is in order when the powers that be don’t do their duty.

We have been invaded by viscious, ruthless killers. These savages are roaming our land at will, with no effort being made to stop them.

I would not be surprised to learn these fiendish brutes were let out of prisons and insane asylums, and are acting on orders of foreign governments.

When is our govt, L/E, ICE and the rest of them gonna wake up?

You can be sure they are not sending their best and brightest to us. We are the holding cell for their criminals and unwanted poor peasants. Pure and simple.

Four innocent young Black students were savagely attacked (three died) by six savage latinos. Jose Carranza, an illegal killer from Peru -- was previously arrested on multiple occasions and had 31 counts of child rape against him) . A PC justice system let the savage go free to kill.

LINE-UP OF EVIL These scumbags mutilated four victims w/ machetes (signature weapon of latino MS-13 gangs). The victims were then shot execution-style....one survived.

Melvin Jovel, Jose Carranza, Rodolfo Godinez (L to R)

AIDING AND ABETTING Newark Prosecutors Paula Dow, Margarita Rivera and Judge Thomas Vena are the minority-appointed PC nitwits who freed killer Carranza (with 32 counts of child rape on him).

BACKUP: Superior Ct Judge Vena lowered child rapist Carranza's bail to $150,000----with the consent of Margarita Rivera, the "assistant prosecutor" handling Carranza's rape case. After the killings, CYA Rivera lied---said she never gave such consent.

MSNBC-TV aired video showing Vena asking Carranza for his SS #; Carranza responds, "I don't have it." On-camera, Rivera clearly aided and abetted Carranza's gaming the system-----affirming he didn't have a SS #.

Any dummy knows Killer Carranza probably has several SS #'s and collects US govt benefits under multiple identities. What did Rivera know? And when did she know it? Why didn't Booker kick her out of the justice system? Dolts with law degrees. The rancid odor of affirmative action fouls the air.

NEWARK FIENDS FIRST FAILED AT SEX ATTACK
NY POST Aug 23, 2007

The six thugs who shot four students preceded their sick attack by a sexual assault then decided to kill the victims execution-style. A family member of one of the slain victims described the level of savagery of the attack. He said the thugs used a machete to hack the victims. "They cut my niece's face off," said John McClain, who is Iofemi Hightower's great-uncle, and the chaplain of the Newark Police Department. "They cut her from cheek to cheek. They left her head hanging." McClain said the mortician had to work for three days to put his grand-niece's face back together.

SOURCE http://www.nypost.com/seven/08232007/news/ regionalnews/newark_fiends_first_failed_at_.htm

Machetes are signature weapons of violent MS-13 gangs from South America now active in 42 states according to the FBI.

===============================================

Case after case clearly shows latino invaders, MS-13 gangs, and their savage cadres are invading the US with the intent to kill Americans.

It's time to declare war on invaders on American soil.
