“.....he was concerned about an atmosphere of “vigilantism.” “

Too bad.

I remain concerned that our justice system cannot render a swift, just verdict.

There is absolutely no reason that this scum cannot be tried, convicted and executed within 6 months from the date of the murders.

San Francisco's formal political structure and government simply cannot be trusted to act in a normal way. Their zoo wasn't built to keep in the big cats. They don't turn illegal alien criminals over to ICE.

Now they want to legalize prostitution but with no public health provisions.

The place should be crossed off anyone's vacation or business calendar. It's simply not safe to go there.

ICE wants access to SF jails
http://www.insidebayarea.com/oaklandtribune/ci_9977704

The head of Immigration and Customs Enforcement on Wednesday called on Mayor Gavin Newsom to allow the federal agency full access to information about local inmates, saying the city should rescind its policy that prohibits ICE agents from reviewing jail logs and records.

A letter sent to Newsom from ICE director Julie Myers urging more access to inmate records was the latest flare-up following accusations that a San Francisco policy to shield undocumented immigrants also caused the city to shelter felons charged with serious crimes.

Eileen Hirst, chief of staff for San Francisco County Sheriff Michael Hennessey, said ICE agents cannot stroll through San Francisco jails to look at booking cards or “eyeball” inmates because the city’s longstanding sanctuary law won’t allow it.

“This is not the first time they have made this request,” Hirst said of the letter. “It’s not the first time the sheriff has said, ‘Please identify the statute,’ and they have been unable to do so.”

Hirst pointed out that her department has handed over 1,100 people to ICE in the past 18 months. But ICE agents cannot get the direct access they want because San Francisco agencies do not cooperate with ICE investigations and detention unless federal law dictates that they must.

The ongoing tiff emphasizes the uniqueness of San Francisco’s detention policies compared to those in neighboring Bay Area jurisdictions, where ICE agents pay
regular visits to county jails.

City officials and ICE also blame each other for allowing the release from custody earlier this year of illegal immigrant and convicted felon Edwin Ramos of El Sobrante, who is now accused of killing three people in June.

“Ramos spoke softly and slowly in denying each of the allegations...”

Let me fix this:
“Ramos spoke softly and slowly” through his interpreter “in denying each of the allegations”

My heart goes out to this woman. My God, what pain she must feel.

I often wonder how libs like Newsom can sleep at night. Then again, if you have no soul, you feel no shame.

"Ramos' attorney, Robert Amparan, told the court Wednesday the case was fast "becoming national media fodder" and said he was concerned about an atmosphere of "vigilantism.""

Read its immoral to be outraged that the government of SF was complicit in the murder of three of its own citizens.

If Ramos is found guilty this b*stard shyster Amparan ought to share a cell with him, where they can together lament the unfairness of American society between bouts of passionate intimacy.

The title is weird. Makes it sound like he shot his dad and his sons, which would’ve made the shooter like...one when he sired them. So, he shot his father and his brothers? Or a different man and the man’s sons?

Look, this hard working guy was just here to earn a living for his family and do the murders that Americans wouldn’t do.

Why, Edwin is a hard working undocumented immigrant, seeking a better life for himself. He’s one of God’s children and I’m sure he holds family values similar to our own. The only humane and compassionate thing to do would be to apologize and provide a large cash settlement to make up for our xenophobia and the vigilantees who dragged him from the shadows into the harsh glare of American racism.

Locally the illegals have gone berserk.

It is not unusual to read or hear in the news of car wrecks and deaths caused by Coyotes driving SUV’s and Vans overloaded with illegals trying to out run the law.

As much as I want to blame San Fransickos politicians the fault still lies with the pathetic voters.

Politicians in our bigger cities are just a reflection of the voters.

I hope this woman sues and wins a hell of a big judgment.

It would be nice if someone or group would take the politicians and give them an attitude adjustment.

The defense sought the gag order after The Chronicle revealed that Ramos was an illegal immigrant who was found to have committed two felonies at age 17 - a gang-related assault of a Muni passenger and the attempted robbery of a pregnant woman - but was not surrendered by San Francisco juvenile justice authorities to federal officials for possible deportation.

Why is there no legal recourse for citizens who lose property and/or family to crime by illegals - when the illegal in question is a KNOWN criminal, yet the "authorities" do nothing, including turning them over to federal authorities (as is suppose to be the law).?

And at what point are citizens justified in taking the law into their own hands, as obviously the "authority" isn't doing its job.
