Pipes makes these observations: "The alliance is based on four factors. First, as British politician George Galloway explains, "the progressive movement around the world and the Muslims have the same enemies," namely Western civilization in general and the United States, Great Britain, and Israel in particular, plus Jews, believing Christians, and international capitalists. Second, the two sides share some political goals. Both sides want coalition forces to lose in Iraq, the War on Terror to be closed down, anti-Americanism to spread, and the elimination of Israel. They agree on MASS IMMIGRATION and MULTICULTURALISM in the West. Third, Islamism has historic and philosophic ties to Marxism-Leninism. Fourth, power. Islamists and leftists can achieve more together than they can seperately. The burgeoning alliance of Western leftists and Islamists ranks as one of today's most disturbing political developments, one that impedes the West's efforts to protect itself." [David Horowitz in his book, "Unholy Alliance. Radical Islam and the American Left," also elaborated on this very dangerous threat to Western civilization.]

Islamics. Marxists, and the radical left all joining forces. Hmmm...who to lead such a coalition?
I know...why not the next President of the United States?
With the endorsement of the marxistic Black Liberation movement, from which he came over the last 20 years, with the endorsement of Hamas, and the President of Iran (and with his own Islamic upbringing), with people like Raul Castro, Hugo Chaves, Ortega and virtually all the other well know marxists of our day lining up with him (including the Communist Paty USA), and with all the far left already swooning...of which he is their chief spokesman in the US Senate, Barack Hussein Obama would make the ideal leader of such a coalition.
Sadly, all of this is true, and we have an individual poised to be elected President of the Unites States who is wholly aligned with the enemies who want to destroy us.
It is like living in the twilight zone and had I not been here experiencing it myself, I would not have believed it possible.

This reminds us that Marxism is truly the religion that failed, leaving its followers to search for God in yet another place.

Hi Jeff. Not ony is Obama poised to lead this coalition of our enemies, but he may very well be their hand-picked front man. In political terms, Obama came out of nowhere overnight to get to the threshhold of the presidency. It's the political equivalent of the mailroom boy becoming chairman and CEO of IBM (or any similarly giant company) only a month after starting work there.
Such blazingly fast political ascendency is almost unheard of in democratic forms of government.
I'm extremely troubled that so many people who post here on FR seem to be indulging in self-delusion about the danger Obama poses to this nation. I wish to God that we had not wound up with McCain as our nominee. Why and how we did is moot at this point. What matters now is that every last one of us needs to come to grips with the fact that we simply cannot risk an Obama presidency even for a week, let alone for 4 or 8 years.

Exactly - that’s the very title of the book Arthur Koestler and other ex-Marxists wrote: “The God that Failed.”

All very true. It’s interesting now that Obama is trying to move away from his extreme Left positions by lying about his whole past and documented record that the liberal MSM is trying to cover for him. They’ve created their own “unholy alliance” to convince Americans he’s really a “moderate” and “centrist.” What a crock! If the voters are dumb enough to fall for that we’ll deserve what we’ll get.

Its difficult to imagine they are so blatantly antiAmerican!See this :
Unholy Alliance: Radical Islam and the American Left
And a review:
**********************************
I had long wondered why people on the Left had the propensity to speak more positively about people who would slit their throats than they do about their own country, which affords them more freedom and opportunity than anywhere else. David Horowitz has answered that question thoroughly and convincingly in his Unholy Alliance. Where I felt bewildered and confused, I now feel crystal clear. Unholy Alliance is such a great book.
It begins with the leftist movements at the beginning of the 20th Century, and works its way up to the present day, exploring the anti-American attitude of these movements in detail. Horowitz shows that the enemies of the US back then are largely the same group today, operating under the same misperceptions, making the same mistakes, and pursuing the same impossible utopia.
Individual chapters are included on the Patriot Act (I was persuaded that it is a GOOD thing); the democratic flip-flop on Iraq once G.W. Bush implemented what they agreed with Clinton needed to be done; the driving components of the current anti-war movement; as well as chapters on individual personalities who are major spokespeople of the Left. Horowitz covers a lot of ground, and he covers it concisely and clearly. Unholy Alliance is richly informative without ever being boring or plodding.
This book is so illuminating that I simply cannot do justice to it here. I love people who reason so clearly that they help me get my own reasoning clear. Horowitz is just that type of person! In the terrain of mindless clichés (no-blood-for-oil, etc.), he is a breath of real fresh air.

Don’t forget about the Russians. Russia has armed the ME for years. Convoy heading to Bakaa w/Saddam’s WMDs? Russian. Hezbollah’s Katyusha rockets? Russian. Sharing resources in the Caspian Sea with Iran? Russia. Without their Russian uranium and helicopters and missile defense sheilds Iran would hardly be anything. Nutjob goes on and on about destroying infidels and what not, but practically takes his orders from an infidel power. Ha.

Thanks for posting...(can't read unless you're a NRO subscriber). Anti-truth, anti-freedom, anti-individual, anti-life collectives are likely to join forces.

"Who will protect us from our protectors?" (R.I.P. Mark Scott) Turning back the tide of these internal collectives (...all enemies, foreign and domestic) and their enablers/co-conspirators is a daunting task
Thanks for posting.

Thanks for the reviews. I read the book and it’s the one I referred to. Everyone should be familiar with what Horowitz says - especially our politicians who are indoctrinated with PC thought and cultural moral equivalence. And that includes Obama.

Good point. Through the czars, the Soviet Union to the ex-KGB man Putin, there must be something in the Russian DNA that makes them addicted to totalitarianism, oppression and empire-building.
