An Attack That Came Out of the Ether
The Washington Post ^ | June 28, 2008 | Matthew Mosk

The e-mail landed in Danielle Allen's queue one winter morning as she was studying in her office at the Institute for Advanced Study, the renowned haven for some of the nation's most brilliant minds. The missive began: "THIS DEFINITELY WARRANTS LOOKING INTO."

I’m not sure what to think about this guy. He confuses me.

This is a 2004 interview on his religion. Afer reading his interview, it confirmed to me that he used Trinity church as a means to politically secure himself in Chicago. He appears have a new-age type of thinking. These are a few highlights:

Obama:
What I believe in is that if I live my life as well as I can, that I will be rewarded. I don’t presume to have knowledge of what happens after I die. But I feel very strongly that whether the reward is in the here and now or in the hereafter, the aligning myself to my faith and my values is a good thing.

When I tuck in my daughters at night and I feel like I’ve been a good father to them, and I see in them that I am transferring values that I got from my mother and that they’re kind people and that they’re honest people, and they’re curious people, that’s a little piece of heaven.

Obama: Part of the reason I think it’s always difficult for public figures to talk about this (religion) is that the nature of politics is that you want to have everybody like you and project the best possible traits onto you. Oftentimes that’s by being as vague as possible, or appealing to the lowest commong denominators. The more specific and detailed you are on issues as personal and fundamental as your faith, the more potentially dangerous it is.

GG: What is sin

OBAMA:
Being out of alignment with my values.

GG:
What happens if you have sin in your life?

OBAMA:
I think it’s the same thing as the question about heaven. In the same way that if I’m true to myself and my faith that that is its own reward, when I’m not true to it, it’s its own punishment.

Who’s Jesus to you?

(He laughs nervously)

OBAMA:
Right.
Jesus is an historical figure for me, and he’s also a bridge between God and man, in the Christian faith, and one that I think is powerful precisely because he serves as that means of us reaching something higher.

And he’s also a wonderful teacher. I think it’s important for all of us, of whatever faith, to have teachers in the flesh and also teachers in history.

(Even eastern religions have this view of Jesus)...

“What they offer is their form of socialism where they work to convince the masses that collective earning and living are the way to go, but that an elite class is needed to control the masses. That elite class is them, of course.”

You are correct.

Someone on another thread wrote:

“Why doesn’t Mr Ayers, his wife and other American-hating communists move to Cuba or N.Korea where their ideal
government is practiced?’

I replied:

The is a reason you always see pictures of the left
with their arm around murderous dictators
is because they envy them.
They wish they could be them.
"Their not going to move there because they
(Cuba N.Korea etc.) already have their dictatorial government.
You don't think Castro and Kim are going to share do you?
Which is why they want to do it here.
Once they (Ayers & Co.) pull down our democracy they plan
on taking their rightful place as the dictators.

I don't say this in jest.
These leftists are angry, think the rest of us are stupid and they think once they are in charge they will get their revenge.

When are conservatives going to learn?
The left are nothing more than a bunch of Che / Castro tyrant wanna be's
who want to enslave and murder the the ones who do not
go along with their plan to be supreme ruler of the world.

Makes a person think something is dead wrong and stinking in America and the odor isn't coming from the right.

Obama the most dangerous man in America.

I spent enough years doing skiptracing for a major corporation that I could figuratively put a microphone and a camera up her tail, have a good look around, write 'Kilroy was Here' inside her colon, and she would never have a clue.

Remind me never to introduce you to the Clintons, they'd try to hire you. ;-)

Cheers!

Separated at birth?

Look at the shape of the eyes, in particular; and then the forehead, the cheekbones, and nose.

Allen, the “Compartmental Genius”, does not have the intellect to understand that the predatory main stream media circulates, mutates and devastates using political misinformation without consequence.

Why is this not OK for bloggers?

Squatter's rights, I guess.

Cheers!

Offer Obama a ham-and-cheese and a Samuel Adams.

Gauge his reaction.

Cheers!

Islam does. That is not a Christian belief that's for sure.

I see the washington compost is up to it’s usual tricks.

But IIRC, obama himself admitted that he “was” a muslim in one of his books.

Not to mention that his own family says that he’s a muslim.

Me neither. Although I didn't think of Obama (peace be upon him), I keep using it because it's funny as hell and indicative of the obamanation’s messiah complex.

I couldn't care less if Obama has no god or twenty gods. The fact that he associates himself with a sixties bomb thrower, a present day racial hate monger, and the infamous Cook County political machine is enough for me to want him permanently removed from any position of influence in this country.

But it would be fun to get a parrot and teach it to say, “Change. Change. Change. Obama (peace be upon him.)"

Obama’s own books make veiled allusions to his Muslim background. These assertions, in his own words, would certainly lead one to believe he has adopted his much admired father's faith.

Yes, one really must wonder what would inspire a certifiable “genius” to start a one woman witch hunt over an emailed spam. There must be more here than meets the eye.

She and her “Muslim-story-source” minions are welcome to hunt me up, too. I would only remind them, if they’ve evil intent, we have conceal/carry laws here in Oklahoma.

Everyone I know knows how I feel about the empty suit. It would be only another opportunity to get my opinion “published”.
