In appreciation of Michael Landon and Litte House..

I am glad that Hallmark has started playing these old (values filled shows again): I used to watch this show as a Child. It has given me a new appreciation of Michael Landon Sr. and as a man of God, as many episodes are openly filled with faith in Christ!

On another note, I looked up Melissa Gilbert (and remember reading an interview with her and her husband on ET in the 90's): in it she said that though she was liberal, her husband leaned conservative! Well to my surprise she is married to Bruce Boxleitner (I loved this guy on Babylon 5!). It turns out if you follow the link I provided with this article; it seems He is a Republican, and has donated far more to Republican candidates than he has to democrats! I just found this interesting..

IN HEAVEN: THANK YOU MICHAEL.

To let you know my time frame (I am 27yrs old born in '80)!

Did you know that Rose Wilder Lane, daughter of Laura Ingalls Wilder, was a seminal figure on the right? She was a founder, with Ayn Rand and Isabel Paterson, of the modern libertarian movement in the 1950s.

My wife and I grew up with Little House. We bought the whole first season on DVD, and have been making our way through it. We laugh because we remember all the episodes. Just watched the one where Mrs. Olsen’s niece has secret liasons with Doc Baker. Good stuff.

Little Joe was way cooler than Charles Ingalls!

Little Joe was the fastest gun, had the fastest paint horse named Cochise and was a lady's man.

And if he ever got into a fight with more then a couple of bad guys, Big Brother Hoss would clean up.

My favorite episode was the one with the "Leprechauns".

Yeah ‘ole Micheal used to see him every couple of days riding up on his motorbike to visit his mistress who lived across the street when I lived in woodland hills. I always thought the woman’s daughter looked just like him.

When they moved out Sony Bono’s cousin moved in. My father told Cher one day to get off the street before she got hit. I think she was so stoned (or just plain stupid) she didn’t know where she was.

I watched the show, and enjoyed it. Michael Landon I believe was a man with a firm belief in God.

Standard fare on Ponderosa was which brother would fall in love, get close to marrying and then have everything fall apart at the last minute.

Michael Landon Jr. produces movies that would make his dad proud, and they also play on the Hallmark Channel. “Love Comes Softly”, “Love’s Enduring Promise”, “Love’s Long Journey” and Love’s Abiding Joy” are all movies about a pioneer family (several generations) and their trials and tribulations. These movies are family friendly and definately have the Landon quality about them. To find out whe they will be showing query IMDB and the movie name.

Michael Landon was a great guy. Of course, he died way too early, as they always seem to do, but that’s another story...
