The media said Obama took the majority of the youth vote under 30. In other words he owns the indoctrinated. This is a group that will tell you George Bush brought down the WTC but can't tell you who Ramsey Yousef is. This is a group that will swear we went to war with Iraq because Cheney wanted the oil but can't tell you why Cheney called for the end to hostilities after liberating Kuwait. This is a group that can't tell you what ANY of the specifics are of Obama's proposals. I suppose we can give them a pass for that because I don't think anybody including Obama himself knows the answer to that question.

“Looks like it will probably be Obama in Nov...”

What if he gets elected, actually does a good job, you like him, I like him, and we send him back for a second term.

He does great in his second term.

We can’t find a reason to not like him. The world likes him. He has a knack for bringing mortal enemies together.

After two terms, liked by us all, loved by the world, he becomes head of the UN...

Whether or not Obama “respects the flag is non of your business or mine...

I’m a veteran and I served to protect people like you who insult others in the internet, and the many people who dont choose to for some reason salute the flag...

We still have free speech in this country..

how do you know the music had started already..

Richardson is looking one way and Hillary is looking another..

They are all lackidaisical and not sharply at attention..

I dont think anything had actually started yet..

Obama is in front and cant see what is happening behind him...

Maybe the people in the audience had not saluted yet either...

Maybe Obama saluted right after the shot..

Does Obama have a history of standing with his hands clasped during the National Anthem ????

If this were Romney in the hot seat...the flames and venom against his accusers would be unquencable...

As bad as things are in the Republican Party, the Democrat Party may be in even worse shape. Its coalition is falling apart.

What is the actual story behind this photo? I’ve seen it before- but what’s the context?

"whereas he has the type of charisma that could rally people and bring in mindless voters looking for a celebrity in the White House."

I'm convinced that if Romney is our guy he will take a STRONG VP candidate that will galvinize and take us over the top....that plus he and whoever the VP candidate is will mop the floor with both idiots the Dems throw at us.(sight unseen)

I'm confident of that... Give the voters credit....

re: Will either of these two jokers become President? If so, we’re in big trouble.

I wonder if we aren’t in big trouble regardless of who gets elected. I hate to keep sounding the clarion call of “The Sky Is Falling”, but there are an awful lot things that are near the breaking point right now, any one of which could push us over the edge. If we’re going over the edge I would prefer to have it under the Dems rather than us. Truth is, I’m sure there is any one person who, once elected, could turn this ship around.

So much of what ails America today is the result of decades and generations of government growth and control. We are so far in debt and so many people have become dependent on that debt to maintain the status quo that it’s going to be very difficult to get enough people demanding change to make a difference.

For a Republican the very first step has got to be a house cleaning, and I mean a real Spring cleaning approach. Until every part of government is purged of the people who got us into this mess nothing going to change. I know a lot of them can’t be touched, Ronald Reagan learned that, but keeping almost entirely the team left by Clinton has been the source of so much trouble for W and his administration.

The new administration needs to start off with an entirely new slate of players at all levels of every department. W has been the target of an endless stream of out and out tricks to sink his administration. This has got to stop.

As I have asserted on other threads, Americans under 30 are the laziest, most uninformed generation in American history. They know less about history, worship leftist lies like climate change, and spend half their lives (low estimate?) on YouTube/Facebook/MySpace. They are perfect Obama voters. He too stands for absolutely nothing.

Thanks for the info. While he certainly has the freedom to express himself in that way- we are also free to express our dismay.

“I’m not convinced the under 30 crowd is more indoctrinate than the older voters. Or more than the under 30 crowd was in previous generations.”

Exactly. The Republican party has not gone after them which is extremely stupid.
And many of the ones I know have more sense than people twice their age.
They don’t have patience for BS.
The Republican party should own the 30 and under demographic. They are people who don’t like to told what to do, the Dems like to tell people how to live their lives.
Republicans stand up for personal and economic freedom (at least we should)

Deliberate ethnic warfare to polarize the population by skin color would be pure Alinsky and Morris predicted some of this. Let’s see just how colorblind all these “Progressives” of various shades of melanin are.

Obama’s South Carolina victory is much ado about nothing.

It was indeed. Blacks vote for black candidates. 83% in SC. Jesse Jackson won twice. If Danny Glover had been the only black in this race he would have won it too. Blacks are racist against whites. Not exactly news. But Latinos hate Blacks more than Blacks hate Whitey. And that is why Obama has no chance whatsoever in California.

The presence or lack of any substance is irrelevant to Democrat and Left voters. Getting and holding Power is the only concern.Leftists do not deal in policies or reasoned argument. They deal in slogans. Public school graduates hear slogans and tend to be mystified by substance. They think of it as interest group pandering.

Paul could excite crowds in a very small demographid. He reasons and argues logically. Most of the electorate only responds to slogans and image.
