2 Yr. Anniversary - Sweeeeet!! :Week 104, Olney,MD 01-05-08: Op. Infinite FReep -- Pic Heavy
Jan. 07,2008

Posted on 01/07/2008 6:09:43 PM PST by trooprally

The list of Olney attendees over the past year include 51 FReepers:

3D-Joy (Florida) and daughter and grand daughter; Apple Blossom & Daughter; BillF; BMWcyle & Daughter; BufordP; Cindy_True_Supporter; Citizen Smash; Concretebob (Richmond, VA); Doctor Raoul (Phily Area); DollyCali (Chicago); Eager; Fraxinus; Gate2Wire; GunsareOK (Roanake, VA); HollyB; iMacMan & wife; Iraqikurd; JustANobody (Below Richmond, VA); Jimmy Valentines Brother; Joyskid; Kburi (formerly Lurker George); Kristinn; LoRo; Mr.Mrs.RedWhiteBlue and 4 kids (our grand kids); Olney-Keith; Paltz; PrezUSA222; RoadKingSE; R.T. Delta; Sensei Ern; Species8472 (Alaska); Spiff (Arizona); TankerBabeLC; tgslTakoma; TFroatz; Tolerance Sucks Rocks; and [Mr] & [Mrs] Trooprally; UncleHamBone & wife (New Hampshire); VAFlagWaver; VictoryNY;

Most of the FReepers come from locales about an hour or less from Olney.

5 FR Lurkers (Not always real name): Alicia; Bill (aka Bill from MD) and daughter; Ethel; Mark.

6 Local Legionnaires: Glenn (Iwo Jima, USMC); Halsey (Korea, USMC); Frank (Korea, Army); Dennis (Army - Korea); "Stormn' Norman"; Carl

12 LOCALS & FReeper Friends (Not always real name): Babs; Bill; Elizabeth (California); Gavin; Glen & wife Carol; Lloyd; Mustafa; Samir; Steve; Stu;

4 SPECIAL Guests: Santa Claus; Little Bull Horn; Bob and E.D. (Walter Reed patients)

A grand total of 78 persons and entities have made the last two years a great success.

I would like to thank BMWcyle and BufordP who over the last two years have filled in and wrote some AARs in [Mrs] T's and my absence.

A thank you to iMacMan, who penned the name "grumpies" for the moonbats, for his great pics, and for [Mrs]. T's great pics.

FReepers, Lurkers and Legionnaires in attendance today tied our record of 18. They are: Legionnaire Halsey (USMC - Korea), Lurkers Bill and daughter, and Ethel, Apple Blossom and daughter, BMWcyle, Cindy_True_Supporter, Eager, Fraxinus, GunsAreOK, iMacMan, Jimmy Valentine's Brother, Kburi, Olney-Keith, Tolerance Sucks Rock, [Mrs] Trooprally and my self.

VAFlagWaver, nursing a bad cough, joined us after the FReep for lunch.

iMacMan and [Mrs] T took pics today.

The sorry moonbats could once again only scrape up 4. I almost feel sorry for them because there was a time that the Olney FReep could only muster 4 to 6 ourselves, being out numbered on a regular bases. But as we continued the FReep, Patriotic Troop Supporters have changed their schedules so that we continuously out number the moonbats. In those early days we received a lot of supporter from FReepers reading out AAR. Thank You All. Your support has paid off.

But we've always had such a good time opposite the "grumpies". There is no way one can pick "The Best Saturday". We had our first several weeks, WEEK ONE, WEEK TWO, where we mixed it up with the moonbats; Doctor Raoul's gas mask and "Hippies Smell" sign; Doctor Raoul's super-duper dual sound system; Spiff, 3DJoy and Sensei Ern's invasion of the moonbats' corner; the convoy of dump trucks that blared their air horns in support of our group; the Rapid Deployment Force (We did two Saturday FReeps for several weeks); VictoryNY's great cheering of our troops; the police slapping the moonbats' wrist for Barking Waveman accosting a jogger; Elle McPherson's visit to Olney; or today, with 18 supporters and then our lunch afterwards at Dave's American Bistro.

BELOW: Our total corner, minus those on other corners and several late comers.

BELOW LEFT & RIGHT: Lurker Bill on the second ,Northwest, occupied corner, facing traffic coming from different directions. L. Bill is real good at manning a corner by himself, getting the maximum exposure, especially with his double sided sign.

BELOW LEFT: Our center, Apple Blossom, Cindy_True_Supporter, Eager, Lurker Ethel, GunsAreOK and Tolerance Sucks Rocks. BELOW RIGHT: Kburi and BMWcyle waving to supporters.

BELOW LEFT: Me and iMacMan on our third, Southeast, occupied corner. BELOW RIGHT: Lurker Ethel, Kburi in back ground and GunsAreOK.

BELOW LEFT: Olney-Keith, a late comer today but always welcome. BELOW RIGHT: Apple Blossom's daughter and Lurker Bill's daughter.

BELOW LEFT: Me and Fraxinus before I went over to the Southeast corner. BELOW RIGHT: GunsAreOK with Legionnaire Halsey.

BELOW LEFT: Eager, Jimmy Valentine's Brother and GunsAreOK. BELOW RIGHT: BMWcyle and Apple Blossom.

"One is the loneliest number ......"

BELOW LEFT: Today there was only one grumpy, rejected, moonbat for about 10 minutes. You can see his banner on the ground to the left of the light pole. BELOW RIGHT: Slowly the other 3 came by and they were finally able to hold the banner that had been lying on the ground.

BELOW: The moonbats had their supporters.

But enough of the "cut 'n run" moonbats. iMacMan's great pics of our supporters overwhelms the moonbats.

After our FReep, we went to Dave's American Bistro. We have been there numerous time before for lunch. The owners are very supportive of our troops so it makes our lunches there that much better. This week the owner provided gratis, lumpia and onion ring appetizers.

BELOW: We had 14 FReepers at Dave's. Kburi and BMWcyle are at the end in the shadows. I was cut out of the pic. Ummmm?

REMEMBER
Next Saturday, same place, Georgia Avenue, MD Rte. 97 and MD Rte. 108 in Olney
NEW TIME - 10:15 AM to 11:45 AM

As always, the D.C. Chapter's rules for protesting will be in effect. Briefly, they are: No violence, no profanity, no racism, no provocations, obey the law and treat all law enforcement officers with respect.

But a lot of verbal engagement in Olney is always welcome.

Thanks. It really has been a good time at WR and Olney, even in inclement weather. Especially watching the grumpies lose their support.

What a great report. I can’t believe how much work it was to go back and review it.

Thank you so very much for doing it.

Thank You, but

If it was just “us two”, we might have got discouraged long ago, or been sporadic in going out. But the support that we have received and the fun just being out with like minded people is great.

We are actually pretty new to FR and FReeping. The stalwarts from the Clinton era are my heroes. Some of you all have been going at it for almost 10 years.

I have worked a little bit at a time for the last several weeks or so gathering info so it wasn’t too bad. Just had to get this weeks pics and put it together.

Thanks for helping make Olney be such a success.

Thanks from the Olney gang.

It’s just a good time being out there. The freezing cold with a wind chill is tough, but we know summer is still on its way, thanks to Algone. And with the Dunkin Donuts gift certificates and cash that we received two weeks ago, there will be free coffee and donuts for at least through January and part of February.
