Media glow on Fonda ignores her treason
Atlanta Journal-Constitution ^ | December 18, 2007 | Terry Garlock

Posted on 12/18/2007 7:35:27 AM PST by Interesting Times

It might help the drought that so few flowers are left to water in Atlanta, so many having been thrown at Jane Fonda to celebrate her 70th birthday.

The AJC predictably gave her glowing coverage, with only the mention that Fonda has to deal with criticism by Vietnam veterans.

Here is one Vietnam veteran who is bothered far more by how the media portray her than by Fonda herself.

Now that the threat of communism is gone, the Cold War stand against it is sometimes ridiculed, likened to looking for boogeymen under the bed. Fonda's own affinity for communism is brushed aside as paranoid rubbish.

But it shouldn't be.

Among those who protested the Vietnam War were many honorable, patriotic and faithful citizens. Fonda was not one of them. Well, she certainly did protest, but if she was a faithful citizen and patriotic, it must have been for another country. Her anti-American roots are evident to any reporter setting willful blindness aside long enough to do some research...

Thanks for posting this article. The old media loves Hanoi Jane Fonda because it is controlled by covert communists.

I won’t give her any slack, even on her birthday. There are too many Vietnam Veterans who missed Birthdays due to her actions and the actions of other traitors. There is an even larger group of Vietnam Veterans that came home to coldness and fear, which changed their lives forever due to the traitors actions. I don’t think there is a Vietnam Veteran out there that forgets all that for even a minute, even on their birthday- so why should she have the luxury they don’t have.

I don’t think you should be too concerned about her- she could care less what Vietnam Veterans and their supporters think of her. The only time she has concerned herself at all is if she is economically effected. Otherwise she could care less; I am quite sure our thoughts about her did not concern her on her birthday.

“Biggest lie ever told.”

That’s the truth. It’s easier to get rid of moles in your yard. We face a real threat of having one in the White House next year.

We had one for VP under FDR. He saw Stalin’s gulags and said nothing.

This woman should not be allowed to celebrate anything. She needs to be reminded that she is a low-life traitor for the rest of her useless existance!

You really know how to put a knot in someone’s stomach don’t you...

There isn’t another person on this planet who disgusts me to the degree this person has.

If access to the kingdom of heaven depends on me forgiving this woman, I may very well wind up in trouble.

This is one person I have never been able to come to terms with. She remains as vile to me as the day she sat on that anti-aircraft gun and exploited our men in the Hanoi Hilton for her own purposes.

May God forgive me...

Understand that but can’t she celebrate a birthday for goodness sakes? That all I am saying. Again can’t stand the woman but this is too much. Her birthdays should have stopped long ago. She has the blood of thousands of Americans, hundreds of thousands of Vietnamese and millions of Cambodians on her hands.

My FRiend, I would be on the same line as you. We bad.

But you know, as I see it, I’m not responsible for judging her eternal reward— but I do take responsibility for judging her actions.

And one cannot receive forgiveness if they do not acknowledge their trespass. The latter has to occur before the former can take effect.

Hanoi Jane has never acknowledged her trespass. Her mealy mouthed apology never was sincere and never held water, because her actions were far worse than just some youthful indiscretion of bad judgment. She was 35 years old at the time she went to North Vietnam in 1972.

Even actors have to grow up someday.

Your defense of her negates your statement that you can’t stand her.

In a just world the bitch would have long ago ben hung for treason.

The sob was directly for many pows being horribly and brutally beaten.

You can have her and you and her can go eat her birthday cake.

Birthday cake that better individuals than her will not get to eat because of her actions.
