More than 600 people came out Tuesday afternoon for a rally held by presidential hopeful Ron Paul.
Paul, the Texas representative who's gaining attention for his online and grassroots support, spoke to the crowd about ending the war in Iraq, limiting government regulation and gaining economic stability.
"We don't need to sacrifice," Paul said, drawing applause from the audience. "What we need is freedom to make our own decisions."

Paul is spending money out here, running ads, billboards, etc. Similar to Huckabee he seems to have picked a state with an early primary to get some momentum going.
Definitely the Ernest T. Bass of this race.

Tell Ron Paul and his Paultards to stay out of Williamson County Texas.
Luckily, we are represented by John Carter, a SOLID Conservative, not an insane libertarian nutball bent on national suicide.

"What we need is freedom to make our own decisions." We have the freedom to not vote for RuPaul. What a clown.

" Similar to Huckabee he seems to have picked a state with an early primary to get some momentum going." His best bet is to manipulate a process that allows more interlopers from the left to jam the results to make it look like a surge of interest. I don't know if Nevada is conducive to this strategy, but Nevada isn't a hotbed for political kooks that are attracted to candidates like Ron Paul.

We had a guy show up for townhall meeting to discuss a leukemia cluster in Fallon a few years ago. He said he was convinced the cause was a secret underground weather control radar the Navy was developing.
I bet I know who he is voting for.

Sad to say, my alma mater. We would come "out" for any reason to party. Not much has changed.

600 people. Now there's a cult following.

I would guess that the phone banks at the local DNC headquarters had to close early that day due to a shortage of volunteers.

Apparently, you wouldn’t have come out to hear Fred, Rudy, or Mitt. They draw crowds that high only in their dreams. Paul’s backers are enthusiastic, their followers (even here in many cases) are going through the motions (if that).
