  • Al Sharpton: 'Rand Paul Is Right'

(VIDEO-AT-LINK)"Rand Paul is right," Rev. Al Sharpton said on MSNBC's Morning Joe on Friday after the Kentucky Senator empathized with African-Americans who believe their rights were threatened by police officers. Paul published a TIME op-ed on Thursday discussing the issue of the "militarization" of the police force and what it meant in the showdown between police officers and protestors in Ferguson, Missouri reacting to the shooting death of Michael Brown. "Given the racial disparities in our criminal justice system, it is impossible for African-Americans not to feel like their government is particularly targeting them," Paul wrote, after criticizing the racial...

Sen. Rand Paul claimed in 2009 that former Vice President Dick Cheney exploited the 9/11 attacks in order to lead the United States into war in Iraq to benefit military contractor Halliburton, where Cheney had been CEO before heading to Washington, a video unveiled by blog Mother Jones' writer David Corn shows. In the video unearthed of a speech given at Western Kentucky University, Paul argues that Cheney opposed the first Bush administration's plans but changed his mind over Halliburton, Corn reports. "He's being interviewed (in 1995), I think, by the American Enterprise Institute, and he says it would be...

**SNIP** There are a whole bunch of problems with this most recent scramble to save the Senate majority: 1. Democrats have opposed in lock-step every change or delay that Republicans have offered (e.g. repeal or suspension of the individual mandate, prohibition on insurance company bailouts, relief from the medical-device tax). Its hard to declare Obamacare the law of the land, block serious consideration of changes and then concede it needs changing. 2. Why did they vote for the law in its current state? Maybe they were hoodwinked by the presidents promises that it would be a pro-growth, pro-jobs reform, or...

After the 9/11 attacks, the public was told al Qaeda acted alone, with no state sponsors. But the White House never let it see an entire section of Congress investigative report on 9/11 dealing with specific sources of foreign support for the 19 hijackers, 15 of whom were Saudi nationals. It was kept secret and remains so today. President Bush inexplicably censored 28 full pages of the 800-page report. Text isnt just blacked-out here and there in this critical-yet-missing middle section. The pages are completely blank, except for dotted lines where an estimated 7,200 words once stood (this story by...

My thought is certain recreational drugs, such as marijuana, should remain off legal limits for the under 18 year olds, but become legally available when used in the proper environment. In many ways, pot is quite similar to alcohol, in that they should be used responsibly. My thought is to make the sale of marijuana less profitable by making it legal for home use. Personally, I don't smoke anything now, and do not want the smell of tobacco or pot on my clothes should I visit a public place, such as a shopping mall or bus stop. I know this...

The Senate's bipartisan "Gang of Eight" oozed confidence on Thursday that they could deliver on their promise to pass the most significant immigration bill in a generation. Organizers gathered over 20 leaders from business, labor, religious and civil rights groups in order to display broad support for their plan. In an unlikely pairing, renowned anti-tax activist Grover Norquist stood alongside AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka, the leader of the nation's largest labor coalition. Senators from both parties yukked it up with jokes throughout the hour-long affair. "We'll oppose only those amendments that are intended to prevent a comprehensive solution from passing,"...

The modern day tea party movement took shape in 2007. Yet, it is hardly a reflection of the anti-war, anti-deficit, pro-civil liberty message that propelled its early popularity. During a time of impending recession, a government that had taken us to endless wars on false pretenses, and an unprecedented expansion of government under eight years of conservative leadership, the tea party began as a fundraising rally cry for a then relatively unknown dark horse candidate, Representative Ron Paul. The first modern day tea party was held on the anniversary of the original Boston Tea Party, December 16, 2007. In a...

Kentucky Republican Sen. Rand Pauls vote to temporarily block Chuck Hagels nomination for secretary of defense elicited blowback from an unlikely source: antiwar conservatives and libertarians, many of them supporters of his fathers GOP presidential campaign. Paul, the son of former Texas Republican Rep. Ron Paul, joined all but four Republican senators Thursday in voting against a motion to end debate over Hagels nomination. GOP leaders are saying that they will not filibuster Hagel indefinitely, but instead want to delay a vote until they have more information about his speeches and finances. There is much to commend, and there are some things to question, about Rand Pauls big foreign policy speech yesterday at Heritage Foundation. The overall idea of using George Kennan-like containment for Iran or for jihadist Islam in general is, well, problematic , although there are plenty of elements of his speech that are at least somewhat sensible. It is a good thing to have discussion of such issues, and there is much value in having people make a thoughtful case against over-eagerness for military intervention. Citing a legal technicality which disqualifies the republican party from being considered a major party due to its failure to get a senate candidate on the ballot in 2010, libertarians appear to have the law on their side which would disqualify the republican party from being able to place its candidate on state ballots in November. Even though he was defeated in every primary and caucus, Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX) is still claiming he will win several states because of delegate support. The Paul campaign is now predicting victory in Minnesota and Maine, and says he is close to victory in Iowa, Nevada, Colorado, Alaska, Georgia, North Dakota and Missouri. The Paul team is highly organized and his claims should not be dismissed. In Taney County, Missouri, the results of the February 7th election were Santorum 58%, Romney 23% and Paul 11.5%. The result was reversed on March 17th when the Texan won 100% of the...

A profanity-laden, anti-Semitic voice message is helping the Houston Holocaust Museum raise money to save an important World War II artifact. That message on Braeden Howard's voice mail was left after his consulting company publicized the work they are doing with the museum. To restore a 37-foot fishing vessel, similar to those used to smuggle Jews out of Denmark during World War II.

Some of my regular readers will wonder why I'm wasting my time with Ron Paul. After all, ol' RuPaul is nothing but a piker, and our eyes should be on the prize--- the White House in 2012. This would be a fair assessment----if one only looks at the small picture. I am fighting for the soul of the Conservative Movement. I'm heading off RuPaul and his cyberstormtroopers at the pass before they irrevocably damage the Movement. If the Conservative Movement is destroyed, all hope is lost. The Republic will not survive. It's that simple. It's that cut and dried.
  • Ron Paul Panders to Anti-Semitism in Michigan

Ron Paul, who has consistently engaged in anti-Semitic nonsense over the course of the past few decades, has largely attempted to hide his anti-Semitism throughout his campaign. No longer. Ron Paul has issued this Arabic-language flyer outside the Islamic Center of America in Dearborn, Michigan:The flyer actually has two sides. The English side promotes Pauls Plan to Restore America and touts his deficit cutting prowess and dislike of the Federal Reserve. The Arabic side, however the side shown above is far less subtle. It says that Paul will cut foreign aid, and specifically mentions only foreign aid to...

In typical sleazebag fashion the English side of the flyer makes no mention of Israel. Via Big Peace: Ron Paul, who has consistently engaged in anti-Semitic nonsense over the course of the past few decades, has largely attempted to hide his anti-Semitism throughout his campaign. No longer. Ron Paul has issued this Arabic-language flyer outside the Islamic Center of America in Dearborn, Michigan [seen above].

Weekly calls between the Paul and Romney campaigns This entire stream, uploaded this Thursday from Mark Levin, is very important, but be sure to catch what he plays at the 7:04 mark. It is from a recent "Morning Joe," telecast. at YouTube, "Mark Levin Helps the American People more than Ron Paul could ever hope for" "There is a de facto alliance between Ron Paul and Mitt Romney; there's no question about it. At this point, it's an open partnership, I mean Jesse Benton, Ron Paul's campaign manager, has talked about the extent to which they're cooperating with the Romney...
